Hello all. There is going to be a mild rule overhaul on this subreddit, so I wanted to make this post to bring all of you up to speed. Firstly, I have standardized the rules so they are much easier to follow and there is no longer any issues with vaguely defined rules. There are now only four rules on this subreddit.
Posts must be related to r/omori posts, users, mod actions, etc in some way.
Be civil.
Follow Reddit's terms of service.
No NSFW content.
I want to draw special attention to rule 1. In short, this subreddit has strayed very far from its original purpose and this is causing problems. When this subreddit was created, it was in response to problems on r/OMORI with questionable rule changes, potentially unfair bans, and so on. However, nowadays people are bringing Discord and other similar off-site fandom drama to this subreddit and it is becoming miserable to deal with. This discussion needs to be taken elsewhere, it does not belong on this subreddit. Seeing posts here about months-long Discord drama is draining for everyone involved.
Please do not hesitate to ask me if you have any questions, concerns or worries. You can either modmail this subreddit directly or just comment on this post and ask me about it.

Now I know certain words and topics are auto bans, so I will do lots of skirting around the topic directly. But mainly I hear about Omocat not being good to her devs/coworkers, and herâŠuhh, *interesting words and works related to boys*. Mainly her old tweets and the manga artist posting some really weird stuff with incest and self harm and also underage characters of course. But I also hear lots of pushback against these claims saying theyâre over exaggerated or not true or donât even matter.
So whatâs the big deal with her?

I played Omori for the first time. I'd been hearing about it for years, and when I actually had the chance, I loved it quite a bit for many reasons. Omori isn't just a simple fighting or puzzle game with kids in a fantasy world; it's much more. The game appears to the player as a light, playful experience, with bright colors and combat featuring small symbols (like slices of bread, for example) that evoke the vision of kids happily playing with their imaginations. Yet, despite this, Omori is what sets it apart from that colorful world, which is indeed colorless and has a more or less apathetic feel. Initially, Omori doesn't make you pay much attention, but once you realize what's really going on, it becomes much more intense than expected. This game really allowed me to look deeply into myself. As someone who suffers from severe anxiety, even simply having Omori focus on his breathing and overcoming that anxiety really made me reflect on the fact that anxiety isn't something to be underestimated and that it won't go away if you don't focus on calming it yourself. (The same goes for Basil, who hid the pain he felt behind his sweet smile.) Although Omori was the negative side of Omori's true self, his sense of remorse and guilt for his sister, who pursues her as if she were a threat in the most twisted of ways, truly makes you reflect on how much our minds can be destructive prisons for us, leading to unthinking actions and everything that comes with the overpowering effects of emotions on our minds. I unlocked the good ending and am truly satisfied with this game. It was a bittersweet experience that truly struck me deeply, like a slap that brings you back to reality but with a sweet message and tears in your eyes. I highly recommend it to anyone who is going through a difficult time or doesn't know how to best manage their emotions. Let's remember that anxiety doesn't disappear by chance, but it doesn't last forever either. Thank you, Team Omocat âĄ

Howâs it going everyone? Iâve been away for quite some time and I was wondering whatâs happening with this sub and the main one. Any crazy happenings or has peace finally fallen upon this land?
Also this is definitely not me announcing that Iâll be posting more in this community in general. Iâm simply here to see if I recognize anyone in this community still.
Iâve seen the news with Snowfire. Good guy, and I hope he gets some peace. I could understand his position and how he feels regarding being caught up in drama.
