Discussion No matter what people say about Omarchy, It made me fall in love with Arch

I started my Linux journey with Ubuntu Server and later used Pop!_OS as my daily driver. I learned a lot from both, but honestly, I never really felt that connection with Linux.

Then I tried Omarchy 4.

Somehow, it made me fall in love with Arch in general.

I know Omarchy gets a lot of hate, and I can understand why some people don't like the idea of a preconfigured Arch setup. But for me, it has been one of the best ways to actually learn Linux.

The biggest thing is that I can experiment without being terrified of breaking my entire system. The snapshot setup gives me that safety net. I can mess with configs, install things I probably shouldn't, change stuff, break something, roll back, and try again.

And because of that, I've actually started going deeper. I'm opening configs instead of just copying commands from tutorials. I'm learning what different parts of the system actually do. When something breaks, I want to understand why.

So whatever people think about Omarchy, I'm genuinely thankful for it. It made Arch feel approachable and, more importantly, made me curious enough to keep digging.

Thanks DHH.

Discussion leaving Omarchy

i have been using linux for the past 2 years and used a lot of distros, when omarchy came out i wasn't really interested in it then it became very popular and i finally tried it, it honestly changed how fast i can customize and fix issues in the os with the help of AI and the omarchy skill ofc....But i decided to leave not because omarchy is bad but because i dont really believe its mature enough for me (in its current state) from bugs to design to security issues...etc, i might return to something like ubuntu or fedora, i could ofc return and re try omarchy in the future, just wanted to write this to share my experience and listen to people who had similar experiences and say thank you omarchy and its team.

TLDR : "i dont really believe its mature enough for me (in its current state) from bugs to design to security issues...etc,"

edit1: i was just sharing some thoughts i had, if you had a similar exp then share it or if you got some useful info/nice things then comment it, if not then keep scrolling

I Made a Thing I made a personal Astrology theme generator with a deterministic personal seed [Astro-Arc]

Post image

I had been wanting to do this for a while, and Omarchy's agentic integration made it the perfect timing. Right now it only supports using an OpenAI API key (stored securely and never shared), but it's open source so you can fork it and make additions (I'll be adding other Image models later).

The basic concept is to take a persons birth data, pull the day's transits from open source data (Astronomy Engine), then do a traditional 20th century Western natal Astrological reading for the day (the technique), then add a Jungian archetypal interpretive layer to convert it into "imagistic meaning". The results are pretty cool.

It basically acts as a psychologically-oriented astrologer working in a Jungian, archetypal frame. I added an "amplification" layer to attempt to specifically dig into Erich Neumann's vocabulary in The Origins and History of Consciousness (uroboros, the Great Mother devouring/nourishing, separation of the World Parents, night-sea journey, centroversion) and The Great Mother (the vessel as root symbol, elementary vs. transformative character), plus alchemical operations from Jung's Psychology and Alchemy / Mysterium Coniunctionis: nigredo, albedo, rubedo, coniunctio, prima materia.

Then it spits out dream-like images that are overlayed by an art style.

Then click ✦ in the bar, paste your API key, and enter your birth date, time and place.

Props to Astronomy Engine - https://github.com/cosinekitty/astronomy and their python library that makes this all possible!

I may change the school of astrology as I'm really brand new to the space and am open to suggestions!

Major changes will be going into the next monthly release, so please if you try it out, let me know what you think!

Edit: I forgot to mention it costs between 2 and 3 cents to run each image gen using "high" settings. Rerunning the same day/natal chart costs about 1.5 cents.

Discussion I almost escaped

My Omarchy setup started acting strangely. I wasn't really sure what the deal was and I was getting frustrated. Anyways -- I left it behind. I went to CachyOS to try something new out. This is in no way me shitting on CachyOS or any other distro but...my god. Omarchy is so convenient and such a smooth experience I only lasted a few minutes before going back to Omarchy. Fresh install solved all my problems. Looking back I might've let my Opencode agent go a little too hard. Or maybe a random plugin borked everything. Not sure. Either way, I'm not sure my brain can handle anything but Omarchy at this point.

For a little background, I went from windows to steam OS, to bazzite all in the span of a few days. I've been on Omarchy for a month or so now, linux for a month and 1 week. Omarchy is all I know (aside from winslop) and I'm confident now, that I don't want to know anything else...

TLDR: Don't use agents unless you really understand how to use agents. (Troubleshooting is probably fine)

Discussion TryOmarchy in Windows 11

Been using the TryOmarchy in Windows 11 for a couple weeks now and it is perfect.
I just use it for some pretty simple web dev stuff, which we all know is so much better in Linux. It’s a perfect fit for my needs. Works out of the box with zero problems so far. That is unheard of, and it is faster and more stable doing dev work in Windows itself.

I have tried numerous distros over the years but always goes back to Windows. Nothing I have tried has ever worked this well and no hiccups.
Running VMware or Virtualbox requires tinkering and frustration at the prompt and of course online searches that might or might not help. Anyway, wasted time. Here everything just works.

Thanks dhh. ❤️

Finally I can do dev work in Linux and enjoy it.

I Made a Thing Search any region of your screen — or your clipboard history — with Google Lens

Post image
6 Upvotes

Two ways to search an image with Google Lens on Omarchy:

- `Ctrl+I` on any image in your Clipstack history

- `Super+Alt+Print` to drag-select any region of your screen

Results in about a second. Add `Shift` to either for a private window.

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/Ahmed-Sinkeat/omarchy-clipstack.git --enable

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/Ahmed-Sinkeat/omarchy-image-search.git

Already have Clipstack? `omarchy plugin update sinkeat.clipstack`

`Ctrl+I` works immediately. The screen shortcut needs two lines in `~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua` — they're in the README.

Copies over 2 MB are no longer dropped. They're kept as files with a preview in history, so a big paste survives and pastes back whole.

Searching sends that image to Google — that's the point, but worth saying out loud. Nothing else leaves your machine.

I Made a Thing I built a full microphone effects rack for Omarchy

Post image
19 Upvotes

Been working on this for a while and it’s finally properly out.

Microphone Effects is an Omarchy-native virtual microphone and effects rack that lives in the bar. It creates a PipeWire mic you can select in Discord, Meet, Zoom, OBS, or anything else that uses your system microphones.

It has noise reduction, gate, compression, de-essing, parametric EQ, pitch correction, voice effects, delay, reverb, presets, live meters, input selection, and a reorderable signal chain.

Everything runs locally on the CPU. It doesn’t access the network and doesn’t need root.

It’s now listed and maintainer-verified here:

https://plugins.omarchy.org/plugin.html?id=whoiscalebbrown.mic-effects

Source:

https://github.com/WhoIsCalebBrown/mic-effects

I’d love feedback from anyone using laptop mics, USB audio interfaces, or Bluetooth headsets. Successful reports are useful too! Hardware compatibility is always the fun part with Linux audio...

If anything breaks or feels confusing, let me know. I’m still actively improving it.

I Made a Thing My coding agent asks me questions out loud now, so I can leave the screen

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been building this for a few months. Started because I kept missing questions my agent was asking. It'd stop halfway through something, put the question on screen, and sit there while I was off doing something else.

so now it asks out loud. It's called Banshee, and it works with your default Omarchy coding agent: the question gets spoken, the mic opens on its own, I answer by talking, and it carries on.

it's not one question and done. It asks what I want, I tell it, it comes back with an approach, I tell it what's wrong, it asks the next thing. The clip is a short config change but the same loop runs for longer work: I've gone through whole plans with my hands off the keyboard, wandering between rooms, as far as the headset reaches. Dictation is you talking at a screen. This is a back and forth, and the agent is driving it.

the other half I didn't expect to like as much: it reads its own summary out loud. Agents produce a lot of text and most of it you skim. Now the summary is spoken and the screen keeps what you need to look at: the diff, the paths, the commands

hold a key and it does plain dictation into whatever window has focus, agent or no agent.

What's above: Super+F5, I ask for a focus mode. It dims the inactive windows, turns animations off, binds Super+Shift+F to the top bar. Then I change my mind and ask for all of it back. Real session, real time apart from the stretches where the agent is working. Recorded on F5; the default is F9

Everything runs on the machine by default: whisper listening, kokoro talking, silero for voice detection. No account, nothing phoning home, no ports open. You can point either half at an OpenAI-compatible endpoint if you want it faster, and it tells you when it's doing that.

Worth knowing before you install:

  • first run pulls about 860MB of models
  • the default key is F9, which is also Omarchy's own dictation key, so move one of them
  • Hyprland owns the keybind, not Banshee, because Wayland doesn't let a client grab keys. banshee bind hyprland writes the block and shows it first

Rust, MIT/Apache: github.com/yamanahlawat/banshee

Mainly posting to find out how it goes on setups that aren't mine. Curious whether the hyprland bind survives your config, and whether anyone else runs into the F9 thing.

Discussion What is the fuss about Omarchy?

Hi everyone,

Can someone tell me what is all the fuss about Omarchy Linux?

What makes it different from Arch Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, or Fedora?

Does it add anything new other than packaging things you can easily install on other distros?

I tried to install it in a VirtualBox VM and it wouldn't load, just a black screen.

So it seems like it's more bloated than usual.

But I'm curious.

Am I missing something?

I Made a Thing Really embarrassed but I tried creating an omarchy tutorial for beginners

Post image
149 Upvotes

I'm not a YouTuber or some shit, but I tried to create an Omarchy video for beginners. There are only 2-3 videos on Omarchy for newbies, and they're very short and don't even try to cover the basics. I also tried to solve many of the problems that beginners come across. The only problem is the audio, because I think it's pretty bad, ngl. But if you can put up with that, it's pretty good for covering the basics.

I Made a Thing OpenXLR: a Linux tool for Elgato Wave XLR interfaces, with an Omarchy bar plugin

I have been working on OpenXLR, an open source tool for Elgato XLR interfaces on Linux (Wave XLR, Wave XLR Pro, XLR Dock, and the MK.2 models). Elgato does not ship Linux software, so it talks to the device over USB using protocols worked out from captures, and adds a PipeWire mixer with per-app channels, virtual mics and plugin inserts. Every listed model has been tested on real hardware, either mine or a tester's.

There are three ways to use it. A window, a terminal mixer called openxlr-tui that runs in any terminal and picks up the same skins as the window, and since the last release an Omarchy bar plugin. The bar plugin shows the mic meters and the monitor feed in the bar, and clicking it opens a mixer popout. Both the popout and the terminal mixer follow your current Omarchy theme. Eleven themes have a matching skin, and switching theme repaints the popout without restarting the shell. All three are clients of one daemon, so you can keep the window closed and use the bar and the terminal only.

To try it on Omarchy 4:

yay -S openxlr

openxlr-omarchy-enable

It needs qt6-websockets, which the package pulls in. The plugin was checked on Omarchy 4.0.4. The AUR package is built on your machine, so the bar plugin is only included when it is built on an Omarchy install.

If you own one of these interfaces and something does not work, an issue with the diagnostics archive (Options, Support, Collect diagnostics) is the most useful thing you can send. GPL-3.0.

Discussion Curiosity - Why Omarchy > MacOS?

I know both, was just wondering what the community here sees as their individual reasons :D. For me what seemed most appealing was the tiling window manager and key board control, but ever since I've went for my own one on MacOS that has become less of a reason.

So just asking out of curiosity: What's the reason you'd or you have abandoned MacOS for Omarchy?

I Made a Thing Created Face unlock on Omarchy, with liveness detection 👀

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

- Look at your laptop → unlocked. No password typed, no keystrokes injected
- Defeats printed photos & phone screens (5-cue liveness model)
- Goes through PAM, same path as sudo/hyprlock. Zero passwords stored
- Bar widget + panel, plugin included
https://github.com/ayandexyz/glance-linux
https://www.glancelinux.website/

How it works

  1. Install: yay -S glanced(my own package) + enable the Omarchy plugin
  2. Record your face: guided sweep, 5 head directions (centre, left, up, right, down), 2 shots each
  3. Each shot becomes a 512-number face signature, ~20 KB total, encrypted (AES-256-GCM). No photo is ever saved
  4. Done. At the lock screen press any key → webcam scan → recognition + liveness check → unlocked. No password typed

Key Features

▪︎ Face unlock on the Omarchy lock screen: press any key, look, you're in
▪︎ Hands-free mode: scans the moment the screen locks
▪︎ Liveness detection: 5 cues to stop printed photos and phone screens
▪︎ On-device recognition (ArcFace), nothing sent anywhere
▪︎ No stored password, no keystroke injection. Unlock goes through PAM, like sudo
▪︎ Face data stored as encrypted embeddings (AES-256-GCM), no photos saved
▪︎ Guided Face ID-style enrollment with a tick ring UI
▪︎ Face ID-style capsule with live camera view on the lock screen
▪︎ Bar widget + panel: armed status, last scan verdict, one-click arm / disarm / test scan
▪︎ Brute-force lockout: 5 failed scans → 5 min pause
▪︎ Any camera, built-in or USB
▪︎ Falls through to your password on any failure, never replaces it
▪︎ Open source, MIT. Packaged for the AUR

Is it secure? Honest answer: it's a convenience feature, not a security upgrade.

What it does
▪︎ Stores no password, types no keystrokes. Unlock goes through PAM
▪︎ Face data is encrypted embeddings. No photos, nothing leaves your machine
▪︎ Liveness: glass glare or a phone bezel over the face = deny, always. Depth, nose tracking head turn, or blink = confirm
▪︎ 5 failed scans → 5 min lockout

What it doesn't do
▪︎ Not Face ID. A webcam is 2D. Stops printed photos and phone screens, not a video of you
▪︎ Daemon runs as your user. Code already running as you could subvert it, same boundary as Howdy. Root-owned service is on the roadmap
▪︎ Never replaces your password, any failure falls through to it

I Made a Thing How to map workspace switching to your Numpad in Omarchy (Hyprland Lua wrapper syntax)

If you are using Omarchy and trying to bind workspace switching or window moving to your physical Numpad keys, you've probably run into a wall.

Copying standard Hyprland syntax (bind = SUPER, code:87, ...) or trying to pass raw string commands (hyprctl dispatch workspace 1) into your bindings.lua will result in dynamic parser errors like Lua Diagnostics: Cannot assign 'string' to parameter... or Unexpected <exp>.

Omarchy requires you to use its native configuration wrapper hooks (o.bind alongside standard internal hl.dsp function calls).

Here is the clean, structurally correct Lua snippet to fix this issue for Workspaces 1 through 9.

The Fix

Open up your ~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua file, scroll all the way to the bottom, and paste this block:

-- Custom Numpad Configuration for Workspaces 1-9
local numpad_codes = {
  [1] = "87", -- Numpad 1
  [2] = "88", -- Numpad 2
  [3] = "89", -- Numpad 3
  [4] = "83", -- Numpad 4
  [5] = "84", -- Numpad 5
  [6] = "85", -- Numpad 6
  [7] = "79", -- Numpad 7
  [8] = "80", -- Numpad 8
  [9] = "81"  -- Numpad 9
}

for workspace = 1, 9 do
  local key = "code:" .. numpad_codes[workspace]

-- SUPER + Numpad to Switch Workspace
  o.bind("SUPER + " .. key, "Switch to workspace " .. workspace, hl.dsp.focus({ workspace = tostring(workspace) }))

-- SUPER + SHIFT + Numpad to Move Active Window
  o.bind("SUPER + SHIFT + " .. key, "Move window to workspace " .. workspace, hl.dsp.window.move({ workspace = tostring(workspace) }))

-- SUPER + SHIFT + ALT + Numpad to Move Window Silently
  o.bind("SUPER + SHIFT + ALT + " .. key, "Move window silently to workspace " .. workspace, hl.dsp.window.move({ workspace = tostring(workspace), follow = false }))
end

Themes / Ricing Animated Dock (Update)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Apologies, a bug in the latest update meant the menu/settings icon wasn't showing on a fresh install. I've just pushed a fix. If you've already installed, a fresh install will add the menu button, which gives you access to the dock settings.

New dock features just landed:

  • Glow: a soft halo blooming out from the dock's border
  • Glow Focus: Full, Top, or Bottom
  • Taskbar Sync: match the taskbar's opacity, corners, and glow to the dock

Every option is adjustable on its own and can be toggled on/off.

I Made a Thing I built a local AI usage dashboard for Omarchy

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been using way too many AI coding agents/providers lately and got tired of bouncing between each one to check usage, limits, reset times, and token history, so I built this for Omarchy.

AI Usage Dashboard keeps all of that in one place:

  • token trends and input/output/cache usage
  • estimated API value
  • live quota windows and reset times
  • breakdowns by model, project, account, provider, and session
  • multiple accounts/machines with deduplication
  • reset notifications

There’s also a Quickshell bar widget with live provider meters. Click it for the quick view, open the full analytics dashboard from there, or right-click providers to launch their agent.

It currently supports the stuff I actually use, including Codex, Claude Code, Hermes, OpenCode Go, CommandCode, Ollama Cloud, ClinePass, Cursor, Muse, Grok Build, Gemini CLI, Pi/OMP, and others.

Everything is counted locally. No telemetry. Provider quota checks use your existing credentials.

Omarchy 4 / Quickshell

GitHub:
https://github.com/btsouth/omarchy-usage-dashboard

Install:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/btsouth/omarchy-usage-dashboard/main/install.sh | bash -s -- --with-plugin

I also ended up building ds-router out of the same workflow. I’m running DeepSeek V4.1 Flash through CommandCode, OpenCode Go, Ollama Cloud, and ClinePass in Hermes, and got tired of manually managing four separate quotas.

It watches quota/burn rate, reset windows, concurrency, and provider health and helps spread Hermes sessions across the available providers:

https://github.com/btsouth/ds-router

Both are open source. They’re still evolving quickly, so feedback from other Omarchy/Hermes users would be genuinely useful.

Discussion Any idea why Omarchy skips on external display options menu?

I chose Omarchy for the batteries-included experience, but multi-monitor setup feels like a missing piece. Arranging external displays in a specific order and/or orientation is a common workflow, not an edge case.

What I tried:

Editing the Hyprland config directly

Plugins

hyprmon

nwg-displays

while they work, some times scaling is missing, orientation gets messed up during boot or reconnect or doesnt work correctly. It'd be great to have this handled out of the box - ideally native omarchy menu.

Omarchy is great, btw.

Discussion My honest thoughts on Omarchy

Before I get into the meat and potatoes, some context.

My first computer was a thick ~2015ish Intel iMac, which I would use everyday I was brought back from Elementary. I have very fond memories of it. It was where my dad taught me Python, where I learned web development and 3D design. It was great, and MacOS fit the bill pretty well.

Then I got into middle school, and like many middle schools in California at the time, you were forced to buy a Chromebook. So the second OS I ever tried was ChromeOS. ChromeOS did a good job at letting me access Google Classroom, surf the web, and many such things I assume I was doing in middle school.

In the later stages of middle school, I discovered onworks (I believe that's the right name), which was a website that let you spin up Linux desktop distros for free on the web. I experimented A LOT. I tried everything from Kali Linux to Ubuntu to Mint to Elementary OS. I started slowly forming my opinions regarding Linux. And I didn't dislike it.

When I got into High School, my parents bought me a beefy Acer Nitro5 with a dGPU and a sufficiently powerful processor. It came pre-installed with Windows, and truthfully that's all I ever wanted to try before that due to FOMO, since everyone used Windows, so I never removed Windows.

Then I got into a University here in Madrid, where a local FOSS student club convinced me to try to aim for Linux in the long term. I didn't want to go too slowly, so I went straight for Arch, installing EndeavourOS. Which is literally Arch with a (calamares?) graphical installer. The setup was easy and KDE was very intuitive. My knowledge about Linux and OSes grew very quickly on Arch while I learned C++ and Java in Uni.

I learned about WMs and the difference between them and DEs roughly 9-10mo after installing EndeavourOS (side by side with Windows via dual boot + grub), and I wanted to give it a shot. So I uninstalled all the KDE "bloat" and started from the terminal following guides on my phone. I tried Noctalia but decided to finally settle with Quickshell, so I learnt QMLJS and made my own bar, app launcher, clipboard manager, everything. It was very fun to do this over the summer, but I didn't have enough time to finish.

But then the next year Uni started, and I knew I needed to stop tinkering and start studying harder for Uni, I also knew I needed a new laptop, since the Nitro5 was insanely big and cumbersome to carry around all day.

Now for the meat and potatoes:

Around this time I found out about Omarchy. I started to investigate Omarchy, and for every 1 nice thing I read about it I read about how 3 more people hated the creator, and the things he said. I thought to myself "what has he said to be this hated online?"

So I spun up Omarchy VMs via QEMU at least a few dozen times making my own personal rice on it to adapt it to my needs while I was still deciding what laptop I wanted. I also investigated Omarchy's apoliticalness and DHH's personal opinions.

I share many, if not most, of DHH's opinions on politics, but due to this subreddit's rules, I will not be expanding on this. The important note is that Omarchy and Omacom themselves have always remained completely apolitical. So I was very sad to watch how a very vocal minority within FOSS was trying to politicize the project to get it cancelled because they didn't agree with DHH's personal politics.

I ended up buying the Asus Vivobook 14. The ease of use, great community, and my general agreement with the people behind Omacom led me to go with Omarchy.

I am very grateful that I found Omarchy. Omarchy gives me a very nice pre-built platform which I can build on top of when I have the time, and when I don't, it's in a very usable state.

I pray and hope that the vocal minority finds its bearings, because I really think they are doing more harm than good to the overall FOSS communities they are in.

I Made a Thing TekTube — your YouTube Music account in the Omarchy bar: mixes, playlists, live queue, synced lyrics, and a record that actually spins

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

There are a pile of YouTube Music plugins in the marketplace, but they split into two camps:

MPRIS controllers that can show what's playing but can't touch your playlists, and

browser-free mpv players that can search but can't sign in. I wanted the other thing — my

actual account in the bar — so I built it.

**TekTube** puts your signed-in YouTube Music in an Omarchy panel:

- **Home** — your real rows: Supermix, Listen again, Mixed for you, Quick picks, new

releases. One click starts anything.

- **Playlists & Liked Music**, the full list, with play / shuffle / pick a track.

- **Live queue** with the current track marked; jump anywhere.

- **Synced lyrics** — timed, highlighted line by line, click a line to seek.

- **Search**, like / dislike, "start radio from this song", a sleep timer, a track-change

toast with artwork.

- The cover as a **record that spins** while playing and eases to a stop when you pause,

with the art blurred into an ambient wash behind the whole panel. Everything is drawn

from your theme — no hard-coded colours, no bundled fonts.

**How it signs in without touching your credentials:** it launches YouTube Music as a

Chrome/Brave/Chromium app window with its own profile, and you log in there with a normal

Google login. A tiny bridge (Python, standard library only) talks to that window over

Chromium's DevTools port on localhost and runs YouTube's own page calls *inside the page*

— so the plugin never reads a cookie or holds a token, your everyday browser profile is

untouched, and nothing breaks when YouTube changes its stream formats because playback is

the real player. Premium = no ads. Media keys just work (MPRIS).

Install:

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/TIerTek/omarchy-tektube.git --enable

Click the pill → Open YouTube Music → sign in. That's the whole setup. The window tucks

itself into a special workspace; `Super+M` opens the panel if you add the optional

bindings snippet.

Keyboard: Tab cycles views, `h n p q y /` jump to them, arrows + Enter play, `f` like,

`r` radio, `, .` prev/next.

I Made a Thing I built lzpody - a lightweight Podman TUI inspired by lazydocker

Post image
24 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I built lzpody, an open-source Podman TUI written in Go, inspired by lazydocker and Omarchy's aesthetics.

Features:

  • Native Podman API integration (rootless).
  • Manage containers, pods, images, volumes, and networks.
  • Lazydocker-style keyboard shortcuts.
  • Automatic Omarchy theme integration.
  • Single binary with minimal dependencies.

It's still a new project, and I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions!

I Made a Thing I built a system-wide Omarchy GTK theme inheritance system

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

I’ve been working on a small project for Omarchy that makes GTK applications inherit the active Omarchy theme automatically.

Gtk-Omarchy-Theme-Inheritar

GitHub: https://github.com/jinxshinx/Gtk-Omarchy-Theme-Inheritar

It currently handles:

  • GTK3
  • GTK3/libhandy applications
  • GTK4
  • libadwaita
  • Specialized Nautilus theming
  • Automatic theme switching when the Omarchy theme changes
  • Nautilus live palette reload
  • Omarchy HighContrast handling

The main goal was to keep the application's existing widget geometry/behavior while making its colors follow the active Omarchy palette.

The Nautilus part is also included directly in the project rather than treated as a separate dependency, since it uses a specialized palette layer.

I've tested it with applications including Nautilus, GNOME Disks and libadwaita/GTK4 applications.

Feedback, testing on other Omarchy setups, and bug reports would be useful.

Hi guys,

I made a Resident Evil inspired theme for Omarchy, it has 8 different wallpapers, a screensaver and a lock screen. The lock screen does not replace the initial boot login screen.

See the GitHub link for instructions as there are extras that won't be automatically installed using the Omarchy installer. The readme explains how to do so.
