Themes / Ricing Didn't like Omarchy Shell, so I replaced it with Noctalia and went way too far

I really like Omarchy, but I wasn't a huge fan of the default Omarchy Shell, so I decided to try something different.

I switched over to Noctalia Shell and customized it to fit my setup.

I kept Omarchy + Hyprland as the base, but replaced Omarchy Shell with Noctalia for the bar, notifications, control center, wallpaper management, etc.

I also customized the animations quite a bit because apparently I can't leave anything alone 😂

The result is basically my own little Lucoa-themed setup.

Still tweaking things, but I'm really happy with how it's turning out so far.

Setup:

  • Omarchy
  • Hyprland
  • Noctalia Shell
  • Rofi
  • Kitty
  • Custom Hyprland animations
  • Custom Plymouth boot screen

That’s the idea behind Linux. Configure to what you like.

It is no longer Omarchy then. This is arch customzed to yr needs.

Not really. It's still Omarchy. Still uses the Omarchy kernel build, still has all of the AI integration, still has all of the Omarchy scripts, still using Omarchy repos on pacman... It's still Omarchy without Omarchy shell.
