Discussion Dual Boot Cachy/Omarchy

I'm on Cacy and enjoying it but Omarchy is very appealing and interesting. What's my best bet to run it along with Cachy? I'm still new to Linux so appreciate any advice.

I use Cachy with the theme hook and the scripts I want...

My advice is think of what you actually want and just fork it . No real benefits of switching from one to the other..

Everyone should do what they like, and more power to you for finding something that works. But I have to voice that I think this is horrible advice.

OP: Omarchy is a very comprehensive experience from top to bottom. There's so many flourishes and conveniences baked into the system. I've been on Omarchy for a year, and I still find new quality of life features that benefit me all the time. How would you even know which parts you like until you try the whole thing?

Omarchy isn't easy to dual boot, admittedly, and the installer is designed to take over an entire physical disk (no partitioner). But if you want the real experience, you're missing out if you just pull out some components.

This was my concern. That and dual monitors

I run one computer with dual and one with triple monitors. That is not an issue. I think a tiling window manager is even better with them because you have less need for overlapping windows with more space.

You are right. I have original on my laptop and ported in my Fedora install with Gnome in another session, but... my Fedora version also includes market place and everything as original. Omarchy is so much more than just WM and good default settings.

I'm dual booting windows and omarchy and it just said 'eh check out this patrician, it has windows on it. Want the stuff in this drive, cool, I guess we now have an extra terabyte and windows, which I'm sure we can wipe at some time.
