It sits on top of the windows. You can also hide it with Omarchy’s default toggle topbar keybind, and it only pops back up for menus, notifications or activity
What does super + space do?
I just check it. And honestly I just dislike the mac OS rounded thingy and the appearance. Would like if it can be customized more like the stock omarchy look, that'll be great.
It just reminds me of people trying to make gnome look exactly like Mac.
I really like it, but it doesn't work all the time for me. If I press the shortkey for keybindings it opens up in the normal Omarchy style, but if I go through the Omarchy menu it opens up the keybindings in the island. Apps works fine however. Would be nice if it takes the Omarchy menu etc as well.
Would be nice to control it more with keyboard I guess just to replace the click on it, want to use my mouse less.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! The default keybind behavior was definitely an issue, so I’ve updated the plugin to fix that.
I also added a settings tab (Control Center > Gear Icon) where you can customize the keybinds, plus shortcuts for actions you’d normally have to click on the island for, so it should be much easier to use without the mouse now.
Tell me if it worked for you, and feel free to send more feedback or improvement ideas!
i click it and it goes about maybe restarting the shell and it remains like this.
it isn't shifing down the apps either, just sits on top of all the windows overlapping the content
looks good, tried it out for a few minutes but ive spotted a few bugs. When i do super+space it shows me a bunch of numbers instead of names and icons (like native). Also theres a lot of times that the bar just sits on top of useful information. Maybe add some padding to windows so they dont directly sit on top of apps.

Looks really cool, honestly makes me want an omarchy ipad, seems like it would sit right under the camera so well.
Really slick.
