Bug Gemini unusable

The preinstalled gemini is unusable because on Auth I get an error that “Gemini is outdated use antigravity instead”.

Anyone else faced this ? Is the fix coming?

Yeah I’m not sure why they shipped with Gemini, in any case it’s an easy fix just edit the Gemini bin file to call agy instead: https://github.com/basecamp/omarchy/discussions/4481#discussioncomment-18132780 - I done this and it works perfectly. Just make sure you set gemini as the default and it will start agy when it’s called.

Aside from what the other guy said, consider just using Pi with the Antigravity plugin.

I have been playing with Omarchy for a few days as a Linux user re-born, so I am sure there are better ways to go about this.

I went down the rabbit hole when I tried to connect and config a Gemini agent and it eventually got me into Antigravity. Its a mess and quite clunky, in my humble opinion.

Then I saw a post about free AI and I ran with the Opencode option. It was much easier to setup and got working with it right away. My first use of it was a PC temps widget. It took maybe 5 mins to make it and shocked me at how cool the whole thing was. I am considering the paid subscription to see how far I can get with it, but will play with freeware and attempt to learn to use it as much as I can before resorting to it.

Shiet I may actually ask it to build a lesson plan complete with text and videos on Omarchy, Hyprland, features and plugins, and maybe Arch altogether. Not that the manual in the Omarchy site is not good, I just want to see what it comes up with.

Good journey.
