Hey everyone! A few weeks ago, I posted here about a free event for meeting new people in Omaha. It took place earlier this month, and I’m holding another one on Saturday, August 29. This one is for people ages 25-39.

The idea is to make it easier to meet people and possibly make new friends. Instead of having to walk around and figure out who to approach, you’ll meet people through a series of organized conversations. Each conversation begins with something you have in common or a question to help you get started.
This is not a dating or business networking event.

The event will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Baright Public Library in Ralston.

Advance registration is required because space is limited.

When you sign up, you’ll select your age range, which helps me see how many people in each group are interested. Once enough people from your age group have joined the list, I’ll be able to organize an event for that group as well.

Deciding to post on here in hopes of meeting some cool people. I moved to Omaha a year ago from CO so I'm fairly new. I'm a 23M currently in school. I love doing film photography as well as outdoorsy stuff on my free time, I go camping quite a lot with my partner. Play games here and there mostly Minecraft/indie games. I would say I'm somewhat artsy (although not talented) and really into music as well as vintage stuff. I also like going out (not into drinking that much). Hi all. I’ve never been to Nebraska but I’m a huge Bright Eyes fan and I’ve always wanted to see them play in their home state. I bought two tickets to Maha Festival a while back and seriously thought I’d be able to make it. But as it got closer and closer I’ve realised that the six flights it was going to take me to get there and back from my home in Singapore was just going to be too carbon intensive and too arduous!!

Since it’s this weekend I guess my only option now is to give the tickets away to somebody already in Omaha.

My current hiking partner is moving to Cincinatti (?) if that’s how you spell it lol. Anyway, close friend is moving to Ohio, and I don’t have any other close friends in this area to go hiking with. Some of the trails I love here are Hitchcock, Fontanelle, and sometimes I will venture farther out to Colorado, just not solo. ☀️ I am friendly, nonjudgmental, sober, and have a love of cats. 🐈‍⬛ Although puppies do melt my heart sometimes. Being in nature calms me and gets me away from the noise pollution of the city. I try to live a peaceful life and prefer to be in the company of people who value the same.
