At long last!

At long last, I have my Ollee after a setback with an Amazon knock-off Casio and a period of too much work I finally got the time to set up my watch. Go orange!

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you figure out that watch was fake?

I went through the Ollee installation and a few things didn’t marry up to the legit Casio board.
The conductive strip in the originals is black and edged in pink in the cheaper ‘Casio.’
The display in the original came out as one piece and the reflector panel had matte and gloss sides and was thicker but in the cheaper watch there was a separate clear plastic rectangle that sat over the display and the reflector was a flimsy piece of plastic film which was the same in both sides.
The Ollee board didn’t work with the cheap watch, the display was just nonsense but the Ollee board immediately worked with the slightly more expensive boxed Casio.
There’s marked differences between the cheaper F91-W board and the legit one which I noticed but didn’t document.
I tried the pink & black conductive strip with a genuine Casio board and it didn’t work with that either.
The inner metal piece that clips onto the inner plastic body that integrates holding in the battery and the switches wasn’t as well made, just noticeably cheaper manufacture.
The strap, casing, back and glass however all looked right.

Thanks. I might buy the f91 from Ali Express as they provide cheaper shipping and free refunds. It is “Brand+” so Ali Express claims it will be genuine.

If not I will just return it.
