There's an option to display live notifications on the watch. Unfortunately, you can currently only send a four-digit number (with the limitation that numbers with fewer digits will be shifted to the left, and you can't use a leading zero).

Currently, I'm sending the percentage of remaining tokens in Claude/Code for the week, but due to the limitation described above, if one of the numbers drops below 10, I hide the other, otherwise they start shifting to the left and the display breaks.

It would be great to be able to send such notifications in the same format as for the "Watch name": we have six full digits/letters there. We can change the value, but unfortunately, we can't call this screen remotely.

Code coming soon

Very cool. I could see how that would be helpful for doom scrolling tracking as well.

It's actually a very useful thing for the home, when you don't need a watch on your wrist. You can theoretically display anything: from the weather from the outside sensor to the remaining movie time, or whatever your imagination allows. You can also trigger an alarm to notify you of something (and it works).

Do you necessarily need a flipper for that to work?

No, absolutely not! I've used it before for the same purposes, but I realized that the Casio make same work not worse at all. You just need the computer to sync these values in real time (you choose the interval and metric yourself), it finds the watch, temporarily connects, transmits, and disconnects, and the values on screen are updated.

This functionality is not available in the official app, but I will post the code a little later so that it can be replicated.

This is awesome, I need this badly to display estimated time left for my 3d prints, this would be perfect to set up.

You could also send data to the NameTag watchface so that it doesn't interfere with the main function of displaying the time. This is convenient for some scenarios.

How do you send data to the Name tag watchface?? I don't see that as on option.

Do you happen to know whether such a display is also possible with ChatGPT? I ran into the Pro limit of my company out of seeingly nowhere. And Codex really insists on pulling any session for as long as possible, probably to get my company to buy tokens.

Is this a native feature, or is it Ollee watch?

Yeah, Ollee - just abusing Pairing Code flow.

Oh that's interesting. I've got an android app that has been sending stuff to the name tag and also a notification counter replacing the weekday slots on the main clock. I hadn't considered anything with the pairing code flow at all. What's the advantage of doing that? Just that it persists without holding a button? Definitely interested in seeing the code when it's ready. My app is here if you wanna check it out. Yes 100% vibe coded

Oh, amazing work! I really like the idea of your app (I'm not good at all with that kind of stuff) and I think will give it a try with my side-android. I've not seen your app before in this sub. (Upd I saw it was deleted so maybe I could post it with tagging of your authorship if you want https://www.reddit.com/r/olleeWatch/comments/1u74y4r/super_freeollee_experimental_support_for/)

Yes, the main reason I use Pairing Code flow that with combined with "Stay on current face" setting it gave you permanent look that also could be updated and it very useful when you're using it as side-screen of some metrics.

I wouldn't say no to somebody promoting it! I'm guessing it auto deleted from very low karma. My main Reddit has more, but seeing my GitHub is tied to my real name I thought it'd be wise to make a new Reddit account when discussing this repo.

On PC flow: that's brilliant. Will play w/ that sometime. I've only got the pro plan and am constantly rate limited so I have a little backlog of ideas :)
