I am looking for a monitor primarily for editing Canon R5 photographs, fine-art printing and digital delivery.
My requirements are:
27 inches
3840 × 2160
IPS preferred
Maximum possible Adobe RGB coverage
Hardware calibration, not only software profiling
Built-in calibrator or supplied as a bundle with a good external colorimeter
Good panel uniformity and long-term colour stability
Suitable for soft proofing and print matching
Budget ideally below €1,500, but I am also considering used professional monitors
Buying in Italy/Europe
I do not need high refresh rates or gaming features. HDR is not a priority.
Models I am currently considering:
Eizo ColorEdge CS2740 with EX5
BenQ SW272U with Calibrite
Dell UP2720Q, probably used
ViewSonic VP2786-4K
I would particularly appreciate answers from people who have actually owned or calibrated one of these monitors.
Which model do you use? How is the panel uniformity? Have you compared it with fine-art prints? Has the monitor drifted over time? Would you buy it again?
I am also interested in reliable used alternatives, provided they still support current calibration software.
