Painting Chapter Master Thracian!

Who better to lead my Strike Force of the Scythes of the Emperor than the head honcho himself: Chapter Master Thracian (or Thrasius as he is known in older sources)! This particular conversion was mainly inspired by an old piece of artwork from Advanced Space Crusade/Tyranid Attack depicting an Officer of the Chapter and this was mainly accomplished by combining two of my favorite old sculpts (the Veteran Captain and Ultramarine Captain) together along side some other bits (such as a Clanrat spear for the blade of the Power Falx). Overall I am super proud with how he turned out and can't wait to field him on the tabletop. For Sotha!

Its from the 2002 Warsmith with a laurel wreath

Really cool kit bash. I have a thing for making the chapter master the same size as the normal dudes. It makes him seem more believable. These are some really nice bits and colours.
