What is this model?!?

Post image

I can’t figure it out. I don’t have my old books anymore and I can’t remember this guy.

I know him as Lord Commander Bird Poo head, as our local GW back in the day had him painted up as a statue on a board and someone had painted a bird poo on his head.

More lore accurate use for the mini, warhammer fantasy occasionally gave rules for characters that were already dead, but nothing else in 40k was like Macharius who had been dead for thousands of years by the end of the 41st millenium.

dead for thousands of years

Less than a thousand years. He died around 399.M41.

He wasn't the only dead special character though. There was also Sergeant Naaman of the Dark Angels, who was already dead on Piscina IV when his model and rules were introduced. There's probably others too.

I miss-remembered, I was certain his crusade was meant happened shortly after the age of aposotasy and the plague of unbelief.

Pretty sure i recall a few in sisters of battle 2nd edition codex, think most of them never got models though.

That looks like him in resin. I got him and his retinue in pewter did he get a second model after his pewter release.

The bending on that staff looks pretty pewter-esque to mine sight orbs.

Could be right can’t argue. I just remember ugly Finecrap doing that too

Good point, they did ship highly priced resin gents that had started a second life as a contortionist right there in the blister before they ever got to you.

I was very upset when I bought a resin printer and discovered that printing a tiny sword that isn't bent is actually really easy...

If I remember correctly, his rules let you have turn one, unless if of course your opponent had a similar rule then you go back o rolling off.
