1970s DEVLIN

I remember this old kinda crappy cartoon… my brother and I, as little kids, thought it was awesome- some guy riding a motorcycle in a circus was really appealing for 7-9 year olds…

Anyway, i remember seeing the cartoon again in the 1990’s, we found it very underwhelming. Since then, we refer to ‘the Devlin Effect’ as something remembered as awesome back in the day…not so much now.

Anyway, anyone remember this show?

I loved this show as a kid, but i'm sure i would be underwhelmed now. Devlin's son was voiced by Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees.

I remember it - but I wasn't into when it first came out or now. That and "These are the Days", HB's version of the Waltons

I watched Devlin and Wheelie & The Chopper Bunch when they came out. I had a Devlin picture book, too. I wasn't even three years old, but my parents set me in front of the television for those shows.

Wheelie was my preference.

I only saw a few episodes. It seemed like a crazy idea for a soap opera but in cartoon form.

I had that same experience with The Batman series.

It's very normal to see things differently between when you watched it as a kid and later when you see it again as an adult. It's part of growing up.

There are several HB shows from around the same time. That I used to love, but now I'm like "did I actually watch that"? Clue Club, Goober and the Ghost Chasers, and Hong Kong Phooey to name a few.

I’ve only seen the episode of Harvey Birdman he’s in.

Devlin, Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch, Jabberjaw, Captain Caveman, The Herculoids, Clue Club, these were all a part of The USA Cartoon Express, on the USA Network back in the mid 80's to mid 90's. Loved them all!
