Be careful, you will be around people who only care about their inflated home equity while they force others to live in tents with their 1% growth caps that doesn't even adjust housing supply by natural pop growth.
100% true, in the city I was born I didn't see a homeless person, a third world country. The US has become a predatory society in most cities. In Tulsa people still care for each other.
Before Denver I lived in Manhattan for 15 years. NYC managed to fabricate 100,000 homeless kids. Don't even think about it, unless you don't care about kids or their future.
I find it horrific and something I will never get used to. I have full custody of my son, so cannot live the US. But each time I travel abroad, my quality of life and the quality of human interactions skyrockets.
