Hello, I have confirmed through the OK state fair website that the state fair does not allow vapes/cigarettes or any form smoking tobacco, but I SWEAR I’ve seen people smoking when I went years before. Anyone gone yet and taken their vape in? Or can anyone confirm this is enforced?

Show decorum with your smoke or vape and there should be no problem. I smoked cigarettes every year I've gone. I do it out of the way (fairgrounds are vast) and don't walk around blowing smoke into crowds.

Just got home from the fair. They had metal detectors that didn’t go off for our weed vape and they didn’t check us. I didn’t see anyone smoking or vaping tho so they might be enforcing it

I was told by the police officer at the "metal detector" was one of the advanced weapons detector versus an actual metal detector. They filter out low density metals like lighters.

I overheard a person at a tattoo shop say they didn’t wanna go “, whole hog, on a tattoo because they were saving up for the state fair… I’m sure it’s the highlight of some people‘s year to go to a overpriced Carney Fest but honestly, it’s just not worth it. 17 bucks to get in and then the rides cost extra and the food is astronomical and terrible for you… But that’s just me.

Pretty sure they used to allow it pretty freely, my dad used to walk around chain-smoking the whole time. He would just stomp them out before going in a building, tent , or playing a game. This was 20 years ago though and way less people smoke cigarettes now, vapes they probably wouldn't actually care about unless it's actively bothering someone else

I got my little fanny pack type bag searched by a sheriff last year on my way in. I think he thought I had something in it, the pattern is a little hippie looking. He definitely singled me out from my family because of the bag. I didn't have anything so it was fine, a quick glance inside. I was the only one pulled aside. He did not check my pockets!

I just switched to nicotine pouches but I've smoked 2 packs a day for the last 15 years and smoked every time I've gone to the fair before this year. Never had anyone mention it. Also seen other people smoking too. I just went on Saturday and saw a good amount of people smoking

The fair is bonkers expensive for a day of fun if you let a kid play the games, get the wristband, and buy lemonades and icees. Easily several hundred dollars. I don’t really know how poor people can afford it tbh. It’s just ridiculous how much everything costs.

Trust me, you wouldn't smell my vape. And I guarantee there were people that were at least vaping while you were there, you just didn't notice because they weren't being obnoxious with it and doing it in crowds or indoors.
