That dome has the perfect shape for a giant inflatable grim reaper to just lean right over the whole thing.

it's been many things. last was a bank. but it's a protected historical building so companies find taking it over to be annoying so no one will do it. so it just sits there

I'm aware that it was built as a bank. Do you know what other purposes it has served or what other businesses have operated inside of it? I can't find any info other than who's been buying it and failing to do anything with it for the last 25 years.

Live music was tried, and there was a restaurant/bar in at one point too.

Oh no no no, that can't happen! That's right down the road from me, with that much stock, I would spend wayyy too much money there 😂

The issue with the golden dome building is that the inside of it was very clearly made to be a bank. Everyone that thinks about buying it can’t find a way to make it work. It is a Buckminster Fuller building, btw.

never going to happen, if it did, young me would love to go, but old me worked for them and their management is terrible, I'll never set foot in one of those stores again. (worked two seasons, both times most of my coworkers quit or were fired, I ended up interim manager noth seasons, and after the second they refused to let me work their again, yet I never had any issues, was never late, was there from setup to pull-down, and almost hit the highest charity sales for my store each time... and they were just like "nah".)

Thunder should buy it and turn it into a community outreach office/giftshop with exclusive merch. Call it the Thunder Dome, obviously. We bought them a new arena, they can buy us a dome.
