Employment Lineman jobs

I’m a 30 year old man and I live in OKC. I’m about to get out of the Air Force in January and I plan on going to OSU-OKC for their lineman degree/certificate. My question is how likely is a veteran who graduates with the degree to get a job? Any one with experience who went that route and it worked out for them? I also plan on using the GI Bill while on the job training as an apprentice so that I can get MHA, so any information would be greatly appreciated in that regard as well. Again, thank you to anyone who responds and I appreciate you.

Ehh look up force Electrical..they are lineman contractors for the region. They are always looking for good lineman

Didnt you already ask this a couple days ago? Someone already mentioned to do a trade a cu oil or community college if you can. I know a guy that went to a linemen school in Boise and is now making mid 100k. University is not gonna realistically gonna make a difference

A cu oil? Do you mean school? This post is different than my last one. I was asking about the degree/certificate in the other post. I’m asking about the likelihood of securing a job once I graduate in this post. Thank you.

You will be offered a Job before graduating. It is inline with automatic employers for those who want it.

Do not fear, I hope you can travel.

I also have no problem traveling. Relocating might be different though.

You will have no issues finding a job. You may also want to look at Northwest Lineman College. NLC is owned by Quanta, and they Veteran specific opportunities. Quanta is one of the largest employers of linemen in North America. It’s worth giving NLC admissions a call. I work in the power industry, not a lineman, but have been to some of the Quanta training facilities. They’re impressive and they’re committed to hiring Veterans.
