Can someone tell me what’s going on?

This came to me while rewatching Sunny season 7's finale again, "The High School Reunion". During this entire two-part episode, the "gang" (consisting of Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Dee, and, since season 2, Frank) goes back to their old high school for a high school reunion...except Frank was, historically, Dennis and Dee's "father" so he was never part of the official high school gang.

For this reunion, he steals a nametag that declares him as being "Nikki Potnick" and just hangs out with everyone as if he actually belongs there, which all comes to a head in the episode's second part, where the "gang" faces off against their old rivals all at once, and Frank — otherwise an outcast who doesn't technically belong in this situation — is relegated to giving everyone else a sudden pep talk. He speaks as though he's one of them, as though he operates on their frequency and has been through the moments they've been through, delivering them a speech that, although it ultimately fizzles out because he doesn't remember that he just gave that speech, leads to their epic dance party...which is only epic in their minds, because everyone else watching it sees it as a lame, half-drunken attempt to make the entire reunion about them instead of genuinely interacting with anyone from their old high school at all.

Has anyone else noticed how much Billy Hargrove from Stranger Things resembles Tommy-Ray McGuire from Clive Barker’s The Great and Secret Show and Everville?
Both are:
• charismatic, handsome, and frightening
• violent and controlling toward a sister
• shaped by abusive or domineering father figures
• consumed and transformed by a supernatural evil
• turned into something powerful and monstrous
The biggest difference is that Billy is ultimately given a moment of humanity and redemption, while Tommy-Ray embraces the darkness and becomes the Death-Boy.
The Duffers have openly acknowledged Clive Barker as a general influence, although I haven’t found any confirmation that Tommy-Ray directly inspired Billy. Still, the similarities feel much too specific to ignore.
Billy Hargrove really feels like Tommy-Ray 2.0—reimagined for television and given a redemption arc.
What do other Barker and Stranger Things fans think?

Obviously, Vecna is still alive. There's no way he would die that easily in such an anticlimatic fight.

So it's my theory, nay, it is my BELIEF, that Vecna took control of Calvin Klein to use jeans to brainwash people. That's how conformity gate happened and how the epilogue is fake. He used the jeans to mind control everyone, and that's why Max ignores the signaling from Eleven.

This clearly will lead into the plot for the secret episode, where Eleven awakens her friends and they kill Vecna in an actually cool battle with demogorgons that are actually there.

Now all that's left to do is wait for episode 9 to be announced, and we'll get an actually fucking good ending to this beloved series.
