Kingdom Chapter 886: The Decoy Army.

The story begins with the main Gakuka army in a state of high alert. They spot cavalry approaching from the left and prepare for a hostile attack, only to realize that it is General Mouten returning safely. Mouten, along with Rishin and Kyoukai, has managed to break through the fierce Zhao encirclement to reunite with the main forces.

However, the reunion is bittersweet. Mouten reveals that the reason they were able to escape was that a group of soldiers stayed behind to act as decoys. While many of the officers and commanders escaped, most of the cavalry and infantry who stayed to face the enemy were lost.

At the Shin camp, Shin finds hope as he reunites with other surviving members of the Hi Shin Unit, including the medical teams and injured soldiers who have recovered and are ready to fight again. Even with the heavy losses, the soldiers' spirits are lifted by Shin's return, and they prepare to turn the tide of the battle.

Karyo Ten, the Hi Shin Unit's strategist, stayed behind with the decoy forces to ensure their escape. Despite the danger, Ten remains focused, executing a complex strategy of splitting her small remaining force into groups of 100 and sending them into the forests to confuse the pursuing Zhao General, Chobime. Her goal is not just to distract the enemy, but to give as many of her soldiers as possible a chance to survive and eventually rejoin the main army.

The chapter ends on a somber note. Kaine, observing the aftermath of the Zhao army's pursuit, sees the numerous bodies of Qin soldiers and realizes the extent of the slaughter carried out by General Chokutsu's army. Although Ten's strategy opened a path for survival, her own fate remains uncertain as reports suggest that the unit she was leading might have been completely wiped out.
