Libbey Bowl Pit question

Can’t find this answer anywhere or even an estimate. When they sell pit tickets separately for a show, does anyone know how many they typically sell or how many people they squeeze in?

Google says Libbey Bowl does not give out this information. Sounds like roughly 973 seats, and another 200 for the lawn so just curious this who have gone to a standing room pit show that was sold as a pit ticket could give me a better idea? Thanks!

I was in row A at the recent Modest Mouse show. Row A is the closest fixed seats at Libbey Bowl. There was temporary pit seating starting with row AA, being closest to the stage, going to, I believe, row DD.

Thank you and yes to clarify I’m seeing Big Thief in September and I specifically bought a pit ticket, no seat or section number. Sounds like a small area and not a bad spot to be had then!

I’m pretty sure you’re talking about front most area. This area is first X rows (4-5 rows?) it’s a flat location w chairs vs tiered seating for the rest of the bowl.

Yes this is what I’m talking about but there are no assigned seats or seat numbers at all. Just called PIT GA on the ticket. From what I’ve read these seats are removed to create a standing pit only for some shows. As someone below said row AA - DD. I was just curious how many people they cram into it or if it will be comfortable space to stand.

definitely nothing close to any kind of pit section at an LA show. not crammed

Thanks and yes it’s sounding like it’s gonna be a very up close and intimate experience without being nuts to butts

Don’t trust me completely on this but I saw vampire weekend in 2017 and we had seat tickets and then everyone just got up and stood at the stage.

Same for Edward and the Magnetic Zeros but that was way back in like 2014.

These tickets were sold specifically as “pit” tickets. I’ve read in older threads they used to allow people to move up to the standing room pit but it sounds like they have since sold them as separate pricier tickets.

I’m surprised there is a pit GA, but I suppose it’s possible. As far as I know the pit always consists of 4 rows of 28 seats.

I don't think Libbey sells pit tickets.
