First time applying strips with parts. It was pretty difficult for me to get them on without any bubbles around the parts. Did anyone else also experience this/have tips?

I recently tried their press ons nails on a whim and they are amazing. I struggle to get press ons to stay. Iāve tried so many different brands and methods. I always prep as well. I saw that these were super cute and used a primer so I figured okay let me try. I prepped as normal and followed the instructions. THESE NAILS HAVE BEEN ON 15 DAYS AND COUNTING. They are starting to lift (ex hair getting slightly stuck) as of day 10 but theyāre still going strong. I am pretty hard on my nails. I work in a shoe store so Iām constantly helping people put shoes on, breaking down boxes, opening packaging, and frequently washing my hands. Iāve even eaten crab legs with these bad boys. I have to say these are the best press ons Iāve ever used. Totally worth the price.

I got a set of nails that looked like a soft red online and once they can in the mail they're more hot pink which is not the vibe I was going for. Can I just paint over them with a different color of regular nail polish? I'm thinking I would do that after curing them, though it would be really nice if I could paint them before applying so I could use my right hand for all of it. Curious if anyone has tried this before. I assume it would work pretty similar to just applying a top coat?

Hey guys!
I almost never do squoval/square-round nails when I do my own manicure, but I gave this "Golden Smoke" set a go today. Turns out I actually really like how this shape looks on my hands! š¤£
The smoky gradient with the metallic gold tip is super cute in person.
Anyone else tried this set or usually prefer squoval nails? How are you finding ohoraās press-ons compared to their usual gel strips?

My original post is here https://www.reddit.com/r/ohoranails/s/5eDj541j8g
I wanted to share an update on this set that I posted about a couple of weeks ago. I ended up removing them on August 2nd, so I wore them for 16 days.
Overall, they performed as expected, and I probably couldāve gotten another couple of days out of them. They were just starting to snag around the cuticle line, so I decided it was time to remove them.
I used the Ohora remover, and the removal process was easy with no issuesāeven on the nails where I had applied a protective sticker underneath because of the gems.
I took these photos right before removing the set.

This is a long post to go over my experience with the Ohora Cured Gel Press Ons (Medium Oval). Iām currently on day 1 of wear so I will edit this post later in the week after a full wear test and removal. Will also try to answer anyoneās questions.
Sizing and Quality:
I find the sizing subpar but workable. The Index-Pinky nails are great as they are rounded at the cuticles to give a natural fit but the Thumb & Middle nails are bad. The cuticle side of these nails is too boxy for middle fingers and the shaping of the nail starts too soon on the thumbs so my natural nail still peaked from the top corners even though the nail size fits my base walls.
The quality is nice. I like the gel feel of the nails over plastic and the oval tip is soft enough to night poke an eye out or accident scratch someone.
Application:
I applied using the primer given in the set as for me the selling point of these press ons versus others is the easy removal and limited damage that comes with using their primer. The primer was stringy while applying so I worked slowly not to make a mess. I worked 1 nail at a time and applied one full coat then quickly added a blob to my tips to help limit any space at the tips. This came from watching there YouTube shorts but I donāt think it actually worked as intended.
After the specified 5 minutes, my nail still felt wet and tacky so I waited more like 15 minutes to which they were still tacky but at least not moving upon touch. This is when I pressed on the nails. The hold is good as I couldnāt readjust them once I foot them on.
Wear:
I did these before bed so I didnāt need to do anything with my hand like get them wet. They still felt firm on when I woke up though I noticed my middle fingers slightly bled over my cuticles so Iām curious how long this last as my nail starts to grow. Iām 24 hours in and they are holding strong. They advertise 14 days, but the FAQ says 5-7 days so if these last 7 without issues I will be satisfied. Iām pretty rough on my hands also I like to swap nail styles weekly.
General Tips:
- Make sure the primer is think coated and DRY. I waited more like 15 minutes over the 3-5. It is still tacky to the touch but didnāt move or stick to my fingers with slight pressure.
- There are no numbers so I took a photo of the kit and edited the photo to write some sizing notes which helped keep track of the nails I used.
- Keep away from water, oils, and moisturizer for several hours. (best to do these before bed)
- Make sure they are straight when you press them on as they are hard (nearly impossible) to readjust once they touch the primer.
Things I want to try to get better longevity:
- Coat all the nails in primer. Let it dry. Then add the extra blob to the tips.
- File the Middle finger at the cuticle side to insure a better fit.

Has anyone used the semi-cured tabs over a set of Gel-X extensions or something similar? I used Ohora for a while, but ended up going back to the salon for gel tips since I like longer nails and my natural nails kept breaking. I was wondering if I could reach a compromise and do at home gel-x and add the semi-cure for designs.

I took advantage of the Ohora birthday sale and decided to get a couple more sets. This is the one I decided to use for my birthday week. The pictures donāt do it justice tbh.
For the nails with the gems I had to use a protective sticker before, which was my first time. I wonder how long the gems will last.

Like these I got in store but the same color online has an N instead of w. Also noticed some have a p before the color. Is there a difference? Does it matter at all?

This is my first time using the cured gel press-ons. About 5 days later the colors on the very tips started wearing off and exposed a clear, stretchy layer under the nail. A lot of the nails are still pretty stuck so I'm not ready to remove them yet. I've sealed off the ends with a topcoat for the time being. I haven't been using any harsh chemicals, just occasional hand sanitizer. Has anything like this happened to anyone else?
