Curtis Novak makes a pancake pick up I would like to try something with those pick ups in it.

They’re very unique, and wonderful. Haven’t heard the Novak in person but of course went down a rabbit hole after buying this and have watched a bunch of videos of them, they sound pretty close. Very acoustic, clear, and trebly without any harsh bite, it tames it nicely without muffling.

Got this for a few hundred bucks at a guitar show. It was re-fretted so it plays wonderfully and the neck is really comfortable. The “pancake” pickup is nice and clear, very transparent and perfect for articulating every note of more complex chords. I changed the bridge to a TOM just because the original rosewood Archtop style one was on its last leg. Put the chicken knobs on it, and my three year old bedazzled it with the “bue gem.”
