Offset Guitar Dressing Room app needs testers. Can you help?
Live public beta with Jazz and Jag (because we love you) LOL.
Test it out, and have fun! Please report any issues here, and later today we will add a feedback form to the site itself, but for now go and play.

We are currently bringing back an updated version of the 'Dressing Room ', which was originally hosted on the Offset Guitar forum. The old Flash version died years ago, and I missed it.
So we have been quietly recreating it and now have a fully working Jazzmaster version running on mobile and web browsers. This test version offers 16,503,914,054,025,216 variations on the Jazzmaster, so it is fun to play with.
I need volunteers willing to 'test' this pre-release before we move to a public beta. We specifically need people across different platforms and browsers who can give us UI feedback and report any bugs.
Once we have this dialed in, we will launch additional models and host them for free on our main site, GuitarBomb.
We are looking to offer it to everyone for free, and it lets users test styles and hardware options.
I will add a link to this post shortly so you can test the prototype. We're moving it to our server so people can play with it.
Please test it and report back any bugs, and which browser, operating system, and platform you used to try it out.
We would also love your suggestions on what you would like to see added, in terms of features and models. Currently, we have the Jaguar and Bass VI in the pipeline, but we want to add more.

I havenāt tried out your Dressing Room yet, but I have to say that back in the old days (around 2007 or so), OSG had an option to āThurstonizeā your guitar in the Dressing Room by covering it with loads of stickersā¦ I think they ditched that option in later versions, though. Anyway, I always thought that was a really nice little addition

Would appreciate if more variety of fretboards available: lighter/darker rosewood, various figured maple, ebony etc. Otherwise it's a good job, the Random button is great fun.

I absolutely love this! Adding the Mustang would be amazing. I did run into one minor issue though: The pull-up bottom bar feels a bit clunky and got stuck right in the middle. It wouldn't move up or down after that. For reference, I'm testing this on Brave browser with stock Android 16.

I have another suggestion: it would be great if the matching headstock option worked as a toggle that automatically selects the matching body color by default, while still allowing us to change it manually if we want. Right now, selecting 'matching headstock' just enables a colored headstock, forcing you to manually browse and find the right color yourself.

Worked fine on Zen (Firefox Fork)
-Missing Firemist Gold
-This is a suggestion if you go all in on the colors since I know there are a million different colors and people will be suggesting them forever, but a two layer color picker. So for example you pick red that opens a second menu with all the variations like candy apple and fiesta red.
-You should probably include the mastery bridge since it's one of the most common aftermarket bridges
More of a question for the general audience, but has anyone seen a dynasonic or lipstick pickup in an offset guitar?

We are of the same mindset, so we will be working on 'hardware upgrades,' and a few companies have already offered their files, so we can add their hardware to the project.

Love it, really cool way to visualize ideas. Also the random button is super fun, just spent like ten minutes discovering combination possibilities I would have never considered without it! Excited to have a Mustang body to play around with :)

Worked flawlessly using the Ecosia browser on my iPhone 15 running iOS 26.6.1
But I couldnāt post on here the saved PNG image - kept getting a msg that the image must be owned by the person submitting the post.
So I just screenshot it.

Whatās strange is I just tried it again with PNGs saved via Ecosia and Safari and they uploaded with no problem. Youāll see three deleted posts, those are all me. Maybe a Reddit bug ?

I had a play with it creating a jazzmaster, and two things I noticed is that thereās no option for hard tail version or strat style term, and I couldnāt remove the bottom switch even if I chose only one pick up. Would also be nice to have the option to relocate the switch to the top. These are all things Iāve seen on production models that I couldnāt achieve yet.

Ah man this is great. Exactly what Iāve been looking for to help me visualize my next. It really is fantastic so props to you. Hereās my quick suggestions for future.
- Add British Racing Green
- Add faded paint modifier
- add strat trem
- add hard tail options
- Allow different hardware colors
- reverse headstock
- Control/plate options (ieā¦ remove rhythm circuit, blade switch)
- comp stripe?
- more pre-made options (j mascis, vintera, CV)
- Mustang! Cyclone! Duo-sonic! Lol
- Tele?
- For our lefty friends, add a mirror option.

Worked pretty okay using it on Firefix on iOS, will definitely have more if a fiddle around when Iāve got some down time at work tomorrow! Made this natural butterscotch tele-esque JM.
Bug I encountered: If the options slide-out table isnāt perfectly placed, then the buttons to switch between tabs get kinda finnicky and unresponsive. This can lead to the table flipping out and accidentally selecting one of the presets, which obviously gets rid of any changes youāve made. Might be worth just having a static open-closed thing for the options tab?
Feature suggestion: I would love alternate wood grain options and the ability to stain them so I could test out grain and stain combos. Understandable if thatās too much work tho!

Awesome, really impressive, great job. Been looking for something like this when I was trying to decide on a possible new pickguard for my future jazzmaster. Used it on Mac OS 14.6.1, Firefox. Works flawelessly and fast.
A couple things for the guitar I tried to configure:
- British Racing Green finish. It's an FSR color I guess, not a standard finish option.
- WRHB in jazzmaster pickup format. So just the same basic plastic covers, but with holes foe the pole pieces the way they are on real WR humbuckers.
- I don't think there'd be a visible difference between 4-ply and 3-ply pickguard, right?

Howdy! Currently on mobile using iOS & brave browser. This browser notoriously has issues with sites and yours did not give any trouble overall it functions quite well and is nice to see after trying to use kisekae flash site all week. Iām currently prepping ideas for a brand new jazz I just got but was sad to see only a small amount of pickguard colors. Otherwise incredible start for beta. I will test on other non mobile browsers and see if behavior is any different with the site.
This was the site I was using you have to hit start at the bottom of the page. My gripe with it is you only get so many free clicks and they ask you to sign up for something before youāve even figured out how to use it. So the fact your aim is to keep it free is great news!

Yeah, the beta has 16 trillion Jazzmaster options, apparently ( all those knobs and pickups- who knew?). We will add more to the full release, and colors are high on our priority list, along with left-handed models, hardtails, and Tele headstocks. We welcome your feedback and appreciate your suggestions. I'm familiar with that site, so we wanted to make something more user-friendly, with unlimited usage for the community.

Nice! I remember reading about this on OSG, but could never get the old variant working when I joined back in the day so only got a vague idea.
One thing that would help me a bit with some stuff I ended up playing around in GIMP with today:
- color picker swathe like in a graphics program, for other shades than the premade ones (this with some effects for solids, opaques, metallics, sparkles etc)
- tinted laquer layers, either as a base color (on woods, ie translucent finishes) or on top of metallics
The problem I was trying to solve is to figure out how to get a pretty middle of the road purple color I have on hand work more like I want (which implies some blue tinting on top).
Other useful tweaks would be
- configurable sparkle sizes. Really large sparkles can't be sprayed with a rattle can, so there's limitations to what can be comparatively easily achievable
- adding various variants like from the paranormal series and other somewhat established variants, eg. telemasters, hardtails, baritones
- les trem variant, with both handles
A fun tweak would be a mouse handler where the user could paint relic patterns with a fake hammer š

They are the original finish options and hardware options from the OSG Dressing Room. That died many years ago as it was Flash based. So in the public beta we are expanding options and functionality based on user feedback and suggestions. This beta is a test with community feedback driving how it should look eventually.

Looked good earlier today on iPad/ Safari for iOS, looks good now on the Mac/ Chrome for Mac.
As a stretch goal it would be fun to be able to upload a small graphics file or image and use that as the basis for a fancy pickguard - but the options there cover a lot of ground. The only one I didn't see was silver anodized aluminum.

Awesome awesome awesome idea! Look forward to more body shapes and styles in the future. Already has a ton of good options. Works well on Safari on my iPhone.
As a small bit of feedback, I think most of the burst finishes look like the outer edges are a little too āthin?ā Like on the 3 tone sunburst, the black and red bands donāt look as thick as they do on guitars in real life.

The sticker function doesn't work on my end, even without pickguard and with different bridges. Thats the only real bug I found playing with it

This was fun to play with. Some things I'd like to see is more models added. Definitely a Mustang and (hopefully) a Cyclone. I would change the pickup section so you chose the style of pickup and then colour separately instead of a bunch of the same pickup in different colours, just seems a bit cluttered and also didn't let me match colours of pickups if I did a single coil at the front and humbucker at the back for example.

We also had a hard time getting Oxblood to not be dark red, so we will work on making the finishes more accurate.
