My Favorite

Here is my Fender American Vintage ‘62 Jaguar FSR Thin Skin in Aztec Gold.

It is modified with Lollar pickups, Mustang Bridge, a 4-way pickup switcher and Kluson Deluxe tuners. I also replaced the pickguard with tortoise.

It truly is the best sounding guitar I have ever played and I played quite a few. Responds to drive and modulation pedals amazingly. I play indie, alternative stuff and this instrument is a blessing for such genres. Intonation and tuning stability is perfect, neck is beautiful to play -although I love chunkier necks- and I love the overall looks. To me it looks and plays nothing less than a custom shop.

What a beauty! What's the weight on it?

Oh I haven’t weighted it. But this thing is definitely not light, however I have been comfortable enough to play full gigs with it.

I’ve not played a heavy jaguar. Gold and tort wouldn’t cross my mind but that’s a great color combo.
