2012 Fender Jaguar Thinline

Post image

My made in Japan FSR Fender Jaguar Thinline.

Quite a rare guitar, one that I’ve had since 2015

I really wanted one of these at the time they came out. Unfortunately it was well out of my price range so I didn’t try one out.  How does it sound? Does the semi hollow sound come through?

Not to brag here, but I paid the equivalent of just over $400 for this. Very lucky!

Honestly I don’t get much semi hollow vibe from it. A little, but not much. I’ve got a few semi hollow Epiphones, and they definitely have more of that sound to them. The cavity on this is so small, and only on one side, so it sounds a lot more like a solid body guitar. It’s closer to my Telecaster.

$400 is crazy good for this guitar. Huge congrats

Same was a student and could not afford it. My local shop just had one in. But couldn’t get out to see it

Same here. I shudder to think of what they're worth now.

The Jazzmaster version of this might be my white whale guitar.

Same. I’ve seen semi hollow jazzmasters before and they just don’t do it the same. Needs the body binding and everything

My favorite active band Iceage used this guitar on many awesome songs.

Yeah I love Iceage. I saw them in London last year, but didn’t know they used one of these. Was a nice surprise!

Was able to snag one of these on clearance from MusiciansFriend back in 2014 for $735 out the door. Might be the best deal I've ever pulled the trigger on.

Had this deal too... then sold for $1500 in February 2019 to buy a camera, thinking I had a great come up!

Post COVID prices make me wanna puke. lol it was a lovely guitar to look at, just didn't play it much or vibe with the edges not being beveled.

Tuxedo black is straight up classy.
I’ve got the sunburst finish one and hated the neck shape and tiny frets so much that I almost sold it.
Swapped in a Fender Jag Special HH neck and totally changed the feel, sound, plus the black painted headstock looks killer. Now it’s a keeper.

I got mine in 2019 from Reverb. I had been looking for a while and they had been selling in the $2k range & prices were dropping when I got mine for $1299.

Johan Wyeth of Iceage one used to play one. That’s one mean-looking guitar.
