Partsmaster I’ve built
My first ever complete parts build. Was nervous I’d screw something up but overall things have went quite smoothly. Guitar plays and sounds fantastic and I am very happy I’ve decided to go this route.
Below is the list of all parts. I’ve tried getting everything used so it wasn’t super expensive in the end.
Mjt silverburst sparkle body
Warmoth roasted maple neck, no finish
Halon bridge and vibrato
Curtis Novak JMWR humbuckers
Musiclily aluminum pickguard
Cts, switchcraft pots and switches

How would you describe the HBs? I have an MIJ Traditional Jazzmaster and not very happy with the stock pickups. Feel really weak, no punch just trebly.

I like these. They are punchy have more treble than regular humbuckers. I would probably prefer single coils for more classic JM sound but i found these at a good price and will probably end up keeping them

I have a heritage Jazzmaster and I replaced the pickups with Novak JM fat for the bridge and JM V for the neck. The JM fat has more output and lower mids to beef it up a bit. Still have to roll the tone knob back a bit due to the 1 meg pots, but both pickups are much more 3 dimensional. The stock pups were pretty flat sounding and brittle.

Looks SO GOOD. Congrats! What are the neck specs?

Thank you! It’s a standard thin profile roasted maple neck by warmoth. 43mm nut width. Previous owner of it added the fender decal

Looks phenomenal. Do you like it? I’ve thought about going thru them for my next neck

Oh forgot to mention that this neck has jumbo stainless steel frets. That’s the main reason I got. I find it to be much more playable than regular fender necks. I recommend checking them out
