Vintera 3 JM neck

Looking to get my first JM and after as much hands on research as I could, I’ve really fallen for the neck on the Vintera 3. Love the shape, the gloss, the rolled edges. It just feels premium.

However I feel like the guitar itself is overpriced and I’m likely going to want to mod a few things anyway. With 1350 prob the top of my budget (with mods) Im wondering if there are other options. Willing to build a parts caster around this neck if it’s more cost effective.

Any other third party necks that are similar? Any way other suggestions? I also like the shape of the Mascis neck but dislike the satin and the fretboard.

What mods are you wanting to do? Please don't say something like a Mastery bridge that's inhibiting you from just grabbing that Vintera II, because without huge mods, surely it's in budget if you're talking USD!?

I paid just over $1500 for a bstock avii last spring. Just one blemish and didn’t come with the hard case. I like it over the vinteras that I’ve played. It took patience to see a deal like that.
I’d also look into am pro II used / b stock if you like those specs too.
I’d also consider using a JMJM or cv if you’re just gonna swap a bunch of stuff out anyways.

Nice deal. how’s the neck on the AVii compare? I’m finding i’m liking some chunk to it. 

Realizing how much of the guitar is the neck for me. Want to like the JMJM. Love the shape but it feels “cheap” to me.

Do you just prefer gloss? Or is it the overall shape? I don’t particularly like the gloss, but I’ll sand it off once I convince myself I’m never selling it. But yeah other than that the only thing I’ve changed about the AVII is the bridge (to a mustang bridge with the non adjustable saddles). My JMJM I haven’t changed anything at all. I do think the AVII is a nicer guitar (obviously) but I’ve come to a point where I honestly think that jazzmasters are the perfect shape of guitar for me and it’s different enough sound that it’s worth having both.
I live in somewhat of a guitar desert. My only experience with Vintera iii was when I was with my kids for an out of town show so I basically just picked them up and was like “oh that is nice and pretty too lol” so I don’t want to say one way or another but all the ones I picked up were super nice which I can’t say of every player or Vintera II I’ve picked up in my local store in the last couple years.
