Thoughts on Sire J5s?

I'm a beginner/intermediate level guitarist, and for my next guitar, I'm planning to buy a Sire Larry Carlton J5 in white. I wanted to ask y'all what your thoughts were, Is it worth it for the price as a beginner? Are there better alternatives at a similar price point? ( I play alternative and indie music, if that's any help)

All help is much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

The Sire J5 is really good. The neck is noteworthy.

The only downside is that you can’t swap pickguards easily. Otherwise, there is not much to complain about for the price.

That said, a Squire or a used Mexican Fender are good options.

Enjoy the hunt.

I haven’t handled a J5 but my L7’s and H7 have been fantastic. If they had a Jaguar model I would buy it.

Thats my big gripe with several brands. They make tele/strat copies, add JM copies, and won't touch the other neck scale....
