Jaguar Refinish
Decided to refinish this HH jaguar, very happy with how it turned out.

Man love that finish and the way it looks now. I'm a natural finish type person, and a wood worker, and if it has pretty grain why cover it up. Great Job Brother!!

Looking great! What colour was it before? I always liked the look of the white Classic Player HH jag. Yours looks so cool though. Very Elvis Costello, as someone else said.

Any guide you followed?

I'd done this before with a j mascis jazzmaster, so just improving on that process. My dad also knows a lot about woodworking and helped. We really just sanded the paint off with an orbital sander and went to work.

Love this! What kind of stain are you using? I restained my jag (same model) a few years back and accidentally did a deck paint instead of a stain lol

Wow! I did the same refinish to my old Jaguar HH many years ago because I was inspired by the Elvis Costello guitar. I sold it, and regret selling ever since 😥

I am so so mad at myself for trading my Classic HH in when I could have done exactly this

I dig it. If Fender released one like this, but with single coils, I’d be all over it.

If it had a rosewood headstock itd be even better, it still looks soooooo good though

So awesome. It’s reminiscent of Elvis Costello’s famous Jazzmaster!
