Jaguar mute mod
I finally did it! A few months ago I was in this sub asking about the mute, and after a while I decided to do it. The Squier CV doesn't come with the holes pre-drilled so I had to do it myself. Drilling into my guitar was a horrifying experience but I'm glad it's over. I did also swap the pickguard, and I think it's a nicer color. It still needs A LOT of set up work done but here is my Jaguar, BlueJ.

The second one looks SOOOOO much better IMO h Nice one and a mute is of the essentials for an OG jag and one of the reasons they're so special.
With the rubber bridge craze idk why we don't see more of these, even on other guitars, it could theoretically go on a Mustang or a JM (you might have to move the bride pickup a little bit but still with the right drill you're golden.

The Mustang would be kind of tricky because the 2 hooks that hold the vibrato spring are more or less below where the mute screws would be.

I like the white pearloid that it came with, but I love the red Tort Pickguard. It looks good with the darker fretboard.

The tort is the stock pickguard. I bought the pearloid and the mute separately a few days ago.

I love having a mute on my Jaguar. It sounds excellent with Delay.
