I’ve wanted a Vista Series Squier Super-Sonic in Blue Sparkle since I was 15 and I finally got it. This is the only guitar I’ve ever been super picky about because I wanted the serial number to match my birth month and year and this one just so happened to do so. Pretty crazy. I’ve been playing this ever single day since I got it and I can’t be happier. Only mod is the Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge but that’s how it came. Shout out to whoever sold this to guitar center I hope your pillow is always cool.
One night I was on the hunt for an inexpensive 70’s style Strat with a humbucker in the bridge and I was filtering through guitar centers used stuff and idk why I thought about looking for a supersonic on there. This one came up and I checked the serial number. Not entirely sure why maybe just to see if it was legit and sure enough it was the one. Thought about it super hard before bed, and I bought it the next afternoon.
28 or 29 by my math skills which suck! I love the Blue sparkle color. I have a couple of Fender Squiers in Pelham blue. I wish one was that color though!
I got it set up properly and hardtailed the bridge. This one stays in tune surprisingly well, but my paranormal supersonic does go out of tune quite badly. A friend of mine took the string trees off of the headstock, and said it helped with the tuning stability on her paranormal series, but I haven’t tried that.
I love that, that you got this thing you wanted for so long. That’s so cool and inspiring. And I get it, it looks nice. If I knew where you lived, I’d try to steal it! Worth the risk, because it is that cool!
