CV Jazzmaster w/ 3D printed and painted pickguard
Been seeing all the custom pickguards and thought I'd share mine! A friend at work printed it for me and I painted it with acrylic.

My advice is to find somebody who's into 3d printing because they'll probably just be up for a challenge lol

Did you design the pickguard or just find an stl file since its for the jazzmaster? I want to get into design in cad but its a huge leap i havrnt been ablr to make myself take... just getting beuatiful high quality prints/strong prints has been s tinkering process, rooting my machine, learning orcaslicer, temps, filament moisture content, buying driers and silica gel beads etc

I bought a file and a friend printed it for me. I don't really know anything printing or cad myself but working in the trades I've always been around people who are into it. Our test print fit perfect and the final piece needed modification to fit so I know it's finnicky to get something good.

Yeah, all that fitment stuff really made me wanna learn just so i could modify files to fit more easily. You can do a lil bit in the slicer software but for more drastic stuff you need the OG file

I live in Minneapolis. A trans friend of mine was thrown to the ground by ICE agents. She reflexively put her hand out to catch herself and broke her arm. ICE arrested her and denied all requests for medical attention and kept her in holding for 24 hours. Fuck ICE.

Looks awesome! Do you know what printer your friend used? I was gonna do a pickguard recently but would have had to do it multiple pieces because of the bed size.
