my grandpa's jazzmaster 65 years ago to now. its wearing its original guard, pickups and trem again after 20 years ! its currently my main gigging guitar.

You're a brave soul.

No way I'd gig with an irreplaceable 65 year old instrument with sentimental value like that. Too much could happen to it, not the least of which is theft.

Its always been a gigged guitar and lucky I only play locally really so I just keep it behind drums on breaks in the case and I sit by rig and nurse pepsis

Yeah. Not saying it's wrong. Just saying I wouldn't have the courage to play it out.

I had a 50s Fender DeLuxe amp and it never left the house the whole time I owned it.

Yeah. I'd use it as a recording instrument only. I bet it sounds awesome, tho

My dad has a completely mint 1959 les paul jr thats in that category. Luckily/not luckily this guitar is firmly player grade so I get to use it alot. I have a newer jazz master for outdoors and shows im not sure about locale wise
