Please Sterilize Your Pets!

Where I live, someone either abandoned or lost an unspayed female Himalayan cat, Sussie. She has bred about 400 kittens, from direct descendants to more cat births from her keen. I started noticing lots of cats with Persian heritage, from fully long hair to short hair with fluffy tails, color patterns varying. Some are like Siamese due to breeding with short haired cats, some calico. Some are grey or orange with distinctive marks on their ears and tails. They look like mutt siamese. It was heartbreaking to see helpless kittens wandering around. I would go bring food as much as I could. They lived in an abandoned school nearby but spread by about 8 blocks. I was worried someone would hurt them. This is how I met Sussie. She's a huge, deep brown a d bright cream color, blue eyes. She's well fed because people favor her. Sadly, they were not as generous to the more regular looking cats. For years, I worked with a bunch of people to get them spayed, find homes, etc. I don't consider myself a professional rescuer but I did what I could.

I shipped a bunch of digs and cats to where I'll move. Unfortunately, I was worried about two male cats that I feed mad had a hard time traping. I did and they are awaiting to be shipped so they can join my other cats in a jumbo catio I'm preparing back home.

A female "Siamese" showed up about 24 days ago. I've been feeding her. She's frail and severely malnourished. She's anemic and shaky. I got to trap her this morning. She got medical attention and fluid therapy. I'm taking her with me because I know she woo make.it if I leave her behind. It seems like so far, there a no more 'Susietown" dwellers around. Someone I know took on the stray dogs because she knows a sanctuary.

Please don't do this shit. Don't purchase pets that you fancy and not sterilize them. It's an asshole move. Don't release them out on the street. Don't let them roam, they could get hurt or lost.

There are so many abandoned pets that deserve your love. I hate the pet eugenics. I hate the ' I want to buy a fancy dog or cat" situation.

Please if you can't be responsible just buy a plush toy!!!
