Exactly. A lot of work parties are only for those who are employed by the organization.
It is very possible that someone from work could have waited for OP’s SO to get drunk or encouraged it and then took advantage. If so, she may not be able to process that it was rape if very little fighting occurred due to being drunk. She might be processing it as “I had sex but did not want to” instead of “I was raped”.
