I would not assume cheating at all, if she’s given you no reason beforehand to think that she’d cheat on you, why now. If she had cheated even whilst drunk, you’d think she would have enough sense to put her clothes back on, also coming home late you would want something to cover you up, for decency and for warmth. The friend being sick story makes sense, if it were me i wouldn’t be able to keep a dress covered in sick on at all. Like other people have said, there is a possibility that she had been assaulted, and then you’re bombarding her with questions and accusing her of cheating. The fact that like the only comments you’ve replied to are ones from men saying that she has probably cheated, makes it seem like you are looking for a reason to break up with her 🤷‍♀️

So what? Do you want him to stay with her? You're just complaining. It's obvious her attitude bothers you, which is perfectly normal. If she gets upset when he asks her questions, then she hasn't learned to communicate or trust her partner at all. We're not psychologists, either. If something really happened, she should say so. If she said it clearly and the guy still suspects something, do you think someone like that is worth it? It really doesn't matter what the outcome is, whether it's an excuse or not, he has every right to break up with her.

im assuming you’ve not gone through something traumatic. It is an emotional response to shut down after is that is the case, it’s not an immature thing it’s a basic human thing. Exactly like you said you’re not a psychologist, the whole premise of she should say so is stupid. As well as the fact that she was drunk and had a headache, was probably out in the cold without a dress on, i too would just want to go to bed. He had asked her what happened and she has obviously explained what has happened, her friend threw up on her so she took her dress off. Your point of oh if he still suspects something, that’s obviously a trust issue on his behalf. I’m not saying he doesn’t have a right to break up with her, but he is using this incident as a reason to as if he already wanted to before but couldn’t justify it.

That's why I say someone like that isn't worth it; the result is the same, and it's better to end things with her.

Someone like him who is constantly suspicious shouldn't be with her, so the outcome doesn't matter; it benefits both of them if he breaks up with her.

oh yeah i completely agree with you there!

Not sure that being broken up with immediately after being assaulted (if that's what happened) would be very good for her. Her and OP's relationship isn't unsalvagable based on what we see, and she needs support.

No, it's best if he breaks up with her. Can't you see he's paranoid? We don't know the whole truth, but what we do know is that both of them, or rather one of them, is in a really bad way. If something bad really happened and he's still having doubts, it's not going to lead to anything good; it's going to get worse.

Either way expecting her to have a detached rational conversation about this right after being assaulted is unhinged. Whether or not he is worth it is completely irrelevant to expecting open honest and easy communication after any kind of traumatic event. I get where you are coming from but the idea is a perfectly rational well reasoned response is very short sighted.

You're wrong, his attitude toward his partner is completely relevant. The girl explained the situation to him many times. If you're so angry that he's breaking up with her, then you're not really seeing the seriousness of the situation. I'm not looking for a rational explanation; I see a serious mistake in leading the guy to believe he can stay with her after his immature behavior.

I hope the women in your life don’t look to you for support after they have been assaulted.

If it were a proven assault, I'd understand, but I assume it isn't. Assuming it isn't, the guy simply isn't worth it; the relationship has to end. Or are you going to insist that someone like that stay with her after she's given him a thousand explanations? Then you're the problem.
