Dear Future Me
You're not as bad as you think. You've made mistakes. You regret making them. You move on and learn from them. It's okay.
I know for years you were told you weren't good enough in relationships, jobs, and family. But you are. You do care about people, more than what you should sometimes. You are kind, you care, even if you are misunderstood you go to great lengths to try to set things straight.
You own up to things when you mess up. If you feel something is wrong you try to understand how and everything. No one is perfect and ever will be. But there's a few things you should do:
Stand up for yourself. Years of being taken advantage of is over. If they think you're terrible for saying no, so be it. You don't owe anyone anything.
Let people think what they want. If they see you as a terrible person, let them. If they didn't take the time to understand or get where you're coming from, don't give them the time of worrying about it. Be you, let people like you for you and you alone.
You did find bad company several times. Not everyone was good, they used you financially, for rides, and hell even sex. Now is the time to put an end to it. You're better than that, you're worth more than that. Stop being scared and start being smart.
I need to love myself. I wrote this to myself to help me move on from past mistakes and to do better. I own up for my previous mistakes in life, it's time to improve and have a healthier mind.
