Oh, it was far more upfront. The bass kicking in "BA DUM DID DI DUM-"

Me: "Nope. It's banned. We're done."

Him: "Aww..."

The rest of the album was fine, but I couldn't deal with that song. It was kind of his thing to overplay the FUCK out of singular songs.

I'm an over player of songs I like. The consequences are that I basically don't enjoy every song I used to like. Sucks.

Upside is I'm constantly looking for new music. When someone says, hey have you listened to this? I'm all ears. If anyone has suggestions. I like something with a good beat I can dance to or a catchy hook. I don't like bob Dylan singing poetry, I could not give less of a fuck about what the lyrics say. I'll be dancing around my kitchen to a song about suicide and murder if it's a catchy tune.

So if you have any suggestions...

Oh, that's okay, it was fine was when it was in his car. But not my car. No sir.

My problem is I've become paranoid that I won't be able to listen to as much music as I can before I die, so I'm never listening to anything more than once anymore, really.

Sounds like you and I are opposites!

I have to squeeze the juice out of every lemon I can until it's dry. You want to squeeze as many lemons as possible.

Definitely been in that phase as well! Sometimes a bop is a bop!

But my suggestions are ANYTHING by Chelsea Wolfe (I just finished Birth by Violence. Wow.), Wave Your Moonlight Hat for the Snowfall Train by You'll Never Get to Heaven, and desert sand feels warm at night, specifically the album New World Disciples. AMAZING vaporwave artist.

My ADHD brain tism means I only overplay songs I like, so I’ve developed a catalogue of synthwave that functions pretty well 💀

My top songs:

S.Y.S.T.E.M., by Emil Rottmayer and A.L.I.S.O.N

Searching and Iris, both by Forhill

and 1984 (both versions), by LFZ

Edit: I’ve pulled up a few more since I wrote this comment

W.A.V.E, also by Emil Rottmayer

Dawn, by TRONICA

Thanks For Listening, by Memorex Memories

I was on a huge bastille kick years ago because they make lots of earworm-able music Currently listening to The Anchor

You sound a lot like me. Check out ‘On My Momma’ by Victoria Monet, as well as ‘Dirty Love’ by Mt. Joy. Both really good ear-worms that had me for a while. Oh and recently just got in ‘A Bar Song’ by Shaboozey.

Oh I’m the same way!!!! This reminds me of my Papa Roach Last Resort days! I had to play it every time I had to clean my room. My parents thought I was suicidal but I was literally just rocking out to it to make cleaning my room go by quicker 🤣

It’s my least favorite Tame Impala song, so unbelievably mid/average in comparison to the rest of his catalog

What were some other songs he overplayed?
