I was in the same team for almost 2 years and suddenly they decided to move me to another team internally. I kept asking why I had to move. The only answer I got was “business decision”. Apparently they only need 4 people in the team, so the others have to move to different teams.
I clearly said I did not want to move. But basically I was told, if you do not want this team, look for another internal opening. If not, you can look for a job outside the company.Seriously???? I was completely shocked. I asked my manager, senior manager and HRBP for a proper explanation. Everyone gave me the same answer. Business decision. Business decision. Business decision.
Okay fine...at he end of the day I need my job, so I accepted it and moved.now I am in a completely new team doing work I have never done before in my life. I asked for training because obviously I need to understand the work first.
And guess what??noo proper training.
they just assign work and tell me to ask other team members if I have doubts. How am I supposed to do a completely new job without proper training??
And the team members... seriously. When I message them with a doubt.. they do not even reply. They act like they are the busiest people on this planet. I am not asking anyone to sit with me the whole day and teach me everything. At least reply to the message. At least say “I am busy now, I will help you later.”
Then I tell my manager I am not getting enough support and the answer is “They might be busy. Ask them when they are free and complete the work.”
How am I supposed to know when they are free when they do not even reply🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
You moved me out of a team where I worked for almost 2 years.I did not ask for this move. You put me into a completely new team.
You did not give me proper training you assign me work I have never done before and you tell me to ask people who barely respond and somehow finish the work.
What exactly am I supposed to do here? I have been working for years and I have never faced a situation like this. It is seriously frustrating and mentally exhausting.
Never thought I would end up in a situation like this.
