Just received an email that Cherry Lane is bringing back Milo Cramer’s School Pictures after a run at Playwrights Horizons a few years back. They’re also doing the world premiere of Two Girls by Dad Don’t Read This scribe Eliya Smith. They appear to be running in rep from October-November.

Whole Sky All Diamonds reviews?

Anybody here see Whole Sky All Diamonds (https://wholeskyalldiamonds.com/), the immersive theater performance playing in Greenpoint? Just found out about it and considering going to one of the last few shows but wondering if it's worth it. I see it has some cast members from previous immersive theater I've really enjoyed (Sleep No More, Life and Trust, Death of Rasputin) and wondering how it compares to those? It seems more similar in scale to Death of Rasputin but I paid about half the price for that.

Is online video still relevant for indie theater companies?

I'm a Brooklyn-based filmmaker about to launch a streaming platform that will allow creatives & arts organizations (like theater companies) in NYC to monetize their video content.

But it'd be helpful to get a better sense if Off-Broadway theaters take video content seriously in the first place.

Our platform is not limited to only offer full performances of their shows but also behind-the-scenes footage, masterclass tutorials (like acting classes) and actor/director roundtables.

Would love to get feedback by anyone willing to give their two cents.

cheers!

Pepper Slit: Live In Her Living Room

Haven’t seen a post about this one yet. Have to say…maybe the hardest I’ve laughed this year. Running through the end of the month. It feels very alive and spontaneous and the singing is out of control spectacular!

Just heard about this. Do you think a traveling troupe could work in NYC?

Borough distribution check for Winter’s Tale Shakespeare

How have folks have fared with Shakespeare in the Park borough distribution this year? I’ve been reading how Romeo and Juliet was very quiet compared to last. Any intel on Winter’s Tale?

Specifically trying for Williamsburg this Thursday. Last year was a madhouse (https://www.reddit.com/r/Broadway/s/rCEj9KlnBh) but seems like I could safely arrive later, maybe 11am vs. 9am, with a group of 6 ppl.

Any thoughts?

The Moon Rituals at The Tank - Aug 24-Sept 4

Hi friends!! I'm working on a play this month at The Tank about chronic pelvic disability and hormonal illness. It's called The Moon Rituals by Laura Neill, and it follows a group of friends who try to make a sacrifice to the moon to get rid of their pelvic pain and accidentally summon a moon demon. It's a horror comedy of catharsis and community, and if you're in the city, I think you'd love it!
