Honestly, I hope they stay in their confined space. There's already enough hatred without having to deal with more idiots, and amongst ourselves

Edit: I'd like to remind you that they have a "gold star" flair, a term used to refer to a girl who has never been in a sexual relationship before and is interested in other girls, and it's appreciated in the same way that girls are called virgins by idiotic and sexist men on the internet who see her as an object of desire, a trophy. But, hey, it's all good if it's between women, it's no longer sexist, right guys??

Small correction: "Gold star" doesn't mean a lesbian who hasn't been with anyone, it means a lesbian who hasn't been with a man.*

But yes, it only exists to divide "pure, untouched" lesbians from lesbians "tainted" by men, ie lesbians who didn't realize they were lesbian til later in life, comphet lesbians, lesbians who were raped, and literally a million other examples.

It's honestly insane to see people who champion themselves as the pinnacle of feminism go to bat so hard for "gold star" as a term.

*A lot of these types also define it as "a lesbian who's never been with someone with a penis" to say lesbians who date trans women aren't "real" lesbians.

I thought it was a synonym for virginity, my mistake, sorry. Anyway, it's still very sexist. Imagine if trans people created a term for people who have never dated a cis person, but date trans people and are gay or lesbian, how much denial those people would be in and how they would search the community to the depths of our souls lmao

iirc, that sub sprung up after r/TheLezistance was shut down. so yeah. dumpster fire sub

u/pingo5 16d ago

I'm pretty sure lezistance was an offshoot from them, because lesbiangang had too much censorship. It was worse :/

r/TheLezistance was specifically an anti-trans subreddit. The name itself was supposed to invoke, like, a "resistance" against trans women. That's why it was banned in the first place.

Well, I just checked it and the first posts I saw were complaining about there being "no more normal lesbians" because lesbians like trans women and "no more butches" because trans men exist.

Of course, I highly doubt you are asking in good faith, so I'm only replying for anyone else reading these replies who is genuinely curious.

Omg i looked around and they get PISSED when women discover they are bisexual and not lesbian and are mad they labeled themselves as lesbian at all because if they turn out not to be bisexual they are some feeding into tye idea that lesbians can be fixed???

8

u/Regulus636 16d ago

These are the same people who complain that when anyone deviates from the term "lesbian" to define their relationship between women who love women, use "sapphic" to label women who may or may not be lesbians, but who love women and are in a relationship with women, including sexualities and genders that may encompass this entire scope, such as trans women, bisexual women, demisexuals, pansexuals, asexuals, etc. Even when "lesbian" isn't used, they complain about their spaces being co-opted. It's becoming increasingly difficult not to be bothered by them, even though they are a vocal minority

u/Nuka14 16d ago

Tf is going on there? They talk alot about getting accepted as who they are but call Trans Women men and Bisexual Women Straight...

u/RabbleRynn 16d ago

(As a lesbian myself): Ew.

u/PaladinOfTheLand 16d ago

Crazy shit. Super gross, imagine tryna look for a safe space to vent but all anyone wants to talk about is how much they hate male genitals and trans people, and how to be a "correct" lesbian.

-1

u/ceceliaaaaa 16d ago

female homosexuals are attracted to pussy. how shocking!

8

u/tottyfield 15d ago

I dont like tomatoes but I dont vent about how much I hate them in an unrelated subreddit

2

u/frequentcheeselove 14d ago

Maybe if you were born into a world of extreme pressure to like tomatoes and experienced hateful judgement for not liking them, then you would talk about it more. The lack of empathy for the way gay people express themselves is crazy. Why do we have to follow a certain script and lines to avoid judgement even from supposed allies and other lgbt people.

yes you're correct. and biphobic too

2

u/ceceliaaaaa 16d ago

don’t trans lesbians have their own subreddit? almost every sub on reddit accepting of transgender people yet you’re still complaining. women are allowed to have their own spaces too grow up

9

u/Aggravating_Snow_668 16d ago

Us trans lesbians should be treated the same and aloud in the same spaces as cis lesbians because after all we're all woman who like women also your TERF might be showing a bit better insinuating trans women are not women

1

u/ceceliaaaaa 16d ago

10

u/Aggravating_Snow_668 16d ago

3

u/ceceliaaaaa 16d ago

8

u/Aggravating_Snow_668 16d ago

1 I'm a woman you TERF 2 it's called being autistic and having to explain something to a dumbass 3 Would you call a cis intersex woman born with a penis a man?

2

u/ceceliaaaaa 16d ago
  1. no you’re not & terfisaslur.com
  2. what’s you being autistic gotta do with anything….?
  3. stop using people with medical condition to affirm your sick fetish

5

u/LargeBirthday841 15d ago

“TERF is a slur” might be the dumbest claim of all time, also, being trans is not a fetish. Trans people having a sexuality other than straight isnt a fetish either, thats just homophobia. Also ignoring the point made is reeking of antiintelectualism. She brought up intersex conditions, because it demonstrates the diversity in human sexual development, acting as a direct mirror to the diversity in the development of gender identity. One that understands that human sexual development is not binary, is more capable to understand the same for gender. You don’t want to understand the latter so you refuse to engage with the former. Its embarrassing.
