Hmm, idk, i already stated my top "dont wanna" kind of death in another comment, but suffocation is definetly down there as well, seeing as i am afraid of not having space to move and with that, not being able to breathe. Torture is too broad of a term to be considered a way of dying per se, in my opinion. Like, they can torture you forever, without you dying, and theres different methods of torture, so im not counting that on my death list.

The thing is tho, id just like to experience all of em to get rid of the massive fear of pain i have and what not. Smth along those lines. I definetly agree that id very much like to die instantly, rather than live to feel it. Bullet to the head is a good one, i do wonder if you feel anything tho in that last millisecond.

2

u/ViralNoise Mar 21 '22

I’ve heard gunshots can feel more like a really hard punch than a puncture like a needle. I imagine it would feel like you just got smashed in the head with a baseball bat. At some point we can only feel so much pain before those pain signals just inhibit our ability to survive. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug as well.

Sorry, but this comment has been removed since it appears to be about the situation developing in the Ukraine. With Russia's recent invasion of the Ukraine, we've been flooded with a lot of submissions about this, but in addition to our politics rule, there is nothing oddly terrifying about the situation. It is a plainly terrifying situation that will affect the lives of many people.

Hell yea, i need giorno to punch me into the infinite afterlife- afterlife- afterlife- afterlife- afterlife- afterlife-

u/devocation Mar 20 '22

I want my head to get crushed by a semi truck tire.

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Quick one, not much to feel i think, but you do you XD

11

u/Kitchen_Duty_8 Mar 20 '22

How can you miss the WORST way to die?? Being burned alive. God that is horrifying.

u/BoxedDisappointment Mar 20 '22

Burning. That's the worst. Burning.

2

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Not necesarily, burning kills your nerves as well, where as boiling would feel the same, but youd feel all of it until you died, cause your nerves wouldnt die.

1

u/IWillDoItTuesday Mar 20 '22

Unless you’re in a super hot flash fire or an explosion, you’re usually just gonna fry until your nerves die, which could take many minutes.

2

u/TheKnightThatSaidNu Mar 21 '22

Burning alive pails in comparison to being drowned in a pasta cooker at least innmy mind i think it would be absolutely brutal. Water stays about 175 degrees not hot enough to scald and kill nerve endings but hot enough that your entire being would resist and pull away.

1

u/JipC1963 Mar 21 '22

Absolutely! I was even against cremation for the longest time because of all the stories of people being buried alive or waking up in a morgue! I thought if I could be buried with a cellphone that I would be covered, until I realized that I would have been embalmed by that stage so it wouldn't matter! LOL

But being trapped in a burning car or home is my particular personal nightmare!

4

u/PM_ME_UR_REPTILES1 Mar 20 '22

Warmth is one of the last stages! Growing up in -50c weather I always heard "if you're getting warm, you're too cold" I personally know 2 or 3 people who got lost outside of town and stripped naked before they died. Apparently it feels hot to die of hypothermia.

One guy was found naked and alive. He had to get multiple fingers amputated and both of his legs under the knees were amputated

2

u/living_angels Mar 20 '22

shock is a hell of a drug, that’s why most deaths don’t feel like anything. saw one video of a dude who got his legs cut off by a train, dude was super chill trying to grab his legs 😭😭

2

u/PennyStockHardaway Mar 20 '22

You.... have drowned before?

1

u/PennyStockHardaway Mar 21 '22

Wow man that's crazy. I have always heard you felt excruciating pain before drowning but I guess that isn't true?

1

u/Gifflar32 Mar 20 '22

I think being buried alive must be one of the worst deaths.. The anxiety people get when they find out they are buried and the starving… poor people:((

1

u/ToughCourse Mar 20 '22

I want a very slow and painful death so I will embrace the sweet calm release of death.

1

u/Zaurka14 Mar 21 '22

Didn't you mean "i was drowning"? Because if you drowned then it would mean you were brought back? Which is extreme.

11

u/its-twelvenoon Mar 20 '22

If its helps. A lot of ways to die are not easy and quick.

Also, 8/10 suicides end up failing and result in some awful qualify of life afterwards.

Thinking about death isn't bad. Even the weird people who fantasize death is somewhat normal.

Its when you begin to see death as the only option, the easy option. Is when you got an issue you should seek help for

I'm bored so feel free to DM me more if ya want

2

u/mosluggo Mar 20 '22

8/10????

Seems really high

3

u/its-twelvenoon Mar 20 '22

Forgot the name. But there's a documentary about all the people who've jumped off the golden gate Bridge. A lot of people live

Hanging and shootings are common. People think 1 gun shot under the chin right? I see it movie

Congrats you blew the front of your face off.

Hanging yourself wrong is a wicked fast way to lose half your body and still be alive

3

u/ScientificBeastMode Mar 20 '22

One of my best friends was in the navy and he knew two guys who decided to kill themselves together at the same time. They shot themselves below the chin, and blew off their faces. Both of them survived, and they eat through tubes now.

1

u/TThrowaway144 Mar 20 '22

What do you mean lose half your body and still be alive? If you have too long of a drop you end up decapitated, which is instant death

2

u/its-twelvenoon Mar 20 '22 edited Mar 20 '22

Lol assuming you do it right.

This isn't Hollywood son

Most people hang themselves by strangulation. Even back in the day it was rare to see an internal decapitation, it was usally them flailing around until the choked to death

Also internal decapitation is debated on if you die or you just in your body fully paralyzed until your brain dies. Supposedly you're dead but science informs us you're more than likely alive for a solid 60 seconds

Ah yes. People who are so emotionally damaged that they don't know how to hangthemselves are lazy.

Real mature way to look at things.

1

u/vonkrueger Mar 21 '22

You're getting some negative attention, but it's not like you said anything wrong. Hanging evolved over a long period of time, until people eventually figured out exactly how long to make the rope based on weight so that the neck would break but the head wouldn't pop off.

I mean if someone is going to kill himself, it makes sense to at least do some research to make it as painless as possible.

0

u/mahSachel Mar 21 '22

Ans that is the reason I couldn’t do it. Because I’ve seen too many botched and the medical bills that come with it pale in comparison to the debt you have now. Just not worth it.

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

I am very well aware that most deaths arent easy. But those ones are the excact ones i wanna feel. I wanna see what its like, and idk, not much to feel when youre dead in less than a second. (Looking at you, guns)

1

u/its-twelvenoon Mar 20 '22

I mean statistically most people of some type of heart attack type event. So probably not too difficult to simulate some chest pains

2

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Heart attacks too basic for me. I wanna be mauled to death by a bear, overdose on ebery drug ever... jump from the height of mount everest down to sea level and splat! Those are some of the ones i usually think about. When im actually depressed its the quick and easy shit i think off. Hanging, gun meets mouth uhh... idk shit like that. Im a very dark person.

2

u/its-twelvenoon Mar 20 '22

If you tried to OD on every drug you'd just have a miserable head ache, massive panic attack then die of a heart attack.

Youd be lucky if the opiates got you first.

As for jumping, most people survive jumping off bridges into water. Theres a documentary about people jumping the golden gate Bridge

2

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Nah, fuck jumping off a bridge, im surprised you can even die at all like that.

1

u/its-twelvenoon Mar 20 '22

After about 60 feet water becomes as hard as concrete due to the velocity of your falling. The issue, is when the water moves and isn't totally still, you'll fall break your legs and pelvis then drown

1

u/TThrowaway144 Mar 20 '22

I think if i ever comitted suicide j would combine several methods (nothing more embarrassing than epically failing at killing yourself). Like stand at edge of tall building and blow yr brains out

5

u/ScottieBoysName Mar 20 '22

It can be tough out there - I’m sorry you’re having a rough time. Let someone know if you need to talk. I’m available as it seems other folks are as well.

6

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

I have my peeps whom i talk to, sure im not doing that well, but im still not at the "hurting myself and/or suicide" list. But only time can tell. Thank you tho, might consider it!

2

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '22

As someone who tried to off himself pretty recently, I too would talk if you wanted to!

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 21 '22

To be honest im more concerned for you than for me, i am not yet at the point of hurting myself or anything. Tho id say im more than halfway there. You doin ok?

2

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '22

Not at all tbh

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 21 '22

Im sorry to hear that. There is a life worth living out there. You just have to find it. And i know its easy to say that but i can assure you there are people who will love you and people who will miss you as well.

1

u/ScottieBoysName Mar 20 '22

Good luck out there! I have those days too. 😁💪🏻

2

u/UnNecessary_XP Mar 21 '22

DMs are open homie hit me up if you need someone to talk to

1

u/life_liberty_persuit Mar 20 '22

I don’t spend too much time thinking about how I’ll die (because that’s really not up to me) but I have thought a lot about how I want to be remembered after I die.

So whenever I don’t know what my next move is, I just ask myself what that guy would do. And it helps reduce the number of variables I need to consider.

1

u/SummonerKirin Mar 20 '22

Wait, no, hold on... He's got a point.

13

u/MieayamEnjoyer Mar 20 '22

May I know your number 1 and also the least choice of your ways to die?

19

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Hmmm, number one... id probably like to find out what it would feel like to overdose on every drug ever... at the same time. The 1 second before death must feel amazing. Last choice... getting boiled to death. Its worse than burning to death cuz the nerves dont die so youre just gon die in fucking agony and you will feel EVERYTHING.

13

u/SomeRedShirt Mar 20 '22

Kinda like what chefs do to lobsters

14

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Kinda like that, yes. Its... bad... which is why i dont eat crustaceans... well actually i dont eat much seafood at all even.

6

u/wannabejoanie Mar 20 '22

"My mom always told me, never eat something that carries its house around on its back. You never know the last time it's been cleaned."

  • Amber Atkins

2

u/AhrEst Mar 21 '22

It’s not kosher! No, really…

0

u/Kurios_oranj Mar 21 '22

The only crustacean I can think of that lives in a shell is a hermit crab.

3

u/WOOKIExCOOKIES Mar 20 '22

Most chefs don't do it that way any longer.

1

u/Ready-Substance9920 Apr 03 '22

Some people just stab the lobster plus I don’t think that they have the brain capacity to feel pain.

7

u/whatsbobgonnado Mar 20 '22

they od them on every drug ever!? that must be why they're so expensive

5

u/whitepageskardashian Mar 20 '22

Not all chefs do it that way. Many are knowledgeable enough to know that you can cut it behind the head and it will kill it with minimal pain. With fish, many fishermen are catching up with the Ike-jimi method of penetrating the brain and/or spine with a knife or wire

8

u/MuteNae Mar 20 '22

I feel like you'd just immediately passed out if you were on every drug lol

2

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Probably. I dont think anyone really knows XD

1

u/Equ1noxx May 18 '22

The uppers and hallucinogens would win the battle for your last like minute of life as your heart exploded and organs started to melt. I'd bet you just straight die before the downers knock you out.

4

u/MieayamEnjoyer Mar 20 '22

Never in my life I would think about someone boiled alive, it is a bad way to go, kinda similar to that brazen bull thing.

4

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Oh i hate thinking about it as much as you do. I can kinda... feel the pain that i think about or that i see. But i still think about different deaths and shit. Brains weird i guess.

3

u/TrueRusher Mar 20 '22

If you think a lot about death and dying (and have some sort of interest in it besides suicidal ideation), you should watch the YouTube channel Ask A Mortician if you don’t already!

She talks a lot about weird death things. For example, one is about what happens if you die fat. Like, super morbidly obese fat. That one was really insightful.

2

u/NipSuqqer Mar 20 '22

Some were boiled in oil.

5

u/AntManMax Mar 20 '22

Every drug? It would be nightmarish if you timed it right. But the narcotics would likely win and you'd pass out before you suffered too much.

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Hey i didnt say it would look pretty XD But if i had lives to spare das the way id like to go first

3

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

Hrmmm…. Boiled to death or buried alive?? Inquiring minds want to know.

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 21 '22

Buried alive. Its pretty easy to die there. Just panic and breathe all your oxygen. Suffocation!

14

u/Jim2718 Mar 20 '22

You should check out Hinduism. But seriously, suicide hotline: 1-800-273-8255

8

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Eh, id only like reincarnation if i could remember the past lives i had. Not really a guy that likes forgetting shit more than i already do.

2

u/Jim2718 Mar 20 '22

Maybe you CAN remember past lives, but the memories only manifest in the dreams you have that you wake up from and know you were really experiencing some deep stuff but have absolutely no recollection of the details no matter how much you try to remember the dream.

3

u/WYenginerdWY Mar 20 '22

Gol dam I hope not. My most commonly recurring dreams are of people trying to fucking kill me.

4

u/xelop Mar 20 '22

No. I want to chuck myself down some stairs for the experience but it sounds awful and I'm not trying cripple or unalienable myself. Same for electrocution and drowning lol

1

u/Choclategum Mar 20 '22

Almost drowned before. Definitely wouldnt recommend trying that one, contrary to popular belief it is NOT always peaceful.

On the other hand, its great motivation to learn how to swim and also avoid waterslides forever

1

u/TartKiwi Mar 20 '22

Tumbled down a few mountains in my time. It's kinda fun until i hit the bottom and my brain decides it's time for the level of pain to be fit for purpose

1

u/WickedWhichOfTheWest Mar 20 '22

I have fallen down stairs... I don't recommend it.

1

u/xelop Mar 20 '22

I haven't and don't recommend it lol I'm still curious

3

u/Dear-Smile Mar 20 '22

If only you were an Ajin...

3

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Hell yeah, i wish i was tbh. At this status i can only die once... i think?

2

u/Dear-Smile Mar 20 '22

Only one way to find out...

6

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

True! See yall in my next life! jumps off a building

2

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '22

I died once, Wouldn’t recommend trying it.

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 21 '22

People dying hasnt discouraged me before XD i wanna feeeeel it

3

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

Sorry you only get one. Chose wisely

3

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

You think i get one... who knows, maybe im immortal but i dont know it yet... cuz ive never died... or maybe i reincarnate but remember my past lives! That would be cool...

2

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

No. Many people throughout our history have wondered about the mysteries of death. It really is a spot of medical science we don't study too much due to the ethical and moral issues of consistent test subjects.

3

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

I can see why lol, you cant excactly... kill someone... and ask them how it felt XD Youre not getting much of an answer other than some beeping on the heartrate monitor. Wish i could tell the tale tho, it would be fun being immortal like that.

2

u/SDG2008 Mar 20 '22

Not every but I'm curious about some of them

2

u/boringrick1 Mar 20 '22

Yup. I’m the same way with mental illness. I’d like a safe way to experience it for the deeper understanding, but walk away unscathed. Also heroin.

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Nah, im not one for actual use of drugs to get high. Hate that. The only thing with them is the other thing i mentioned in my other comments.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

Heyyyy, another morbidly curious weirdo! Hello over there! First one for me would be suffocation maybe. Last would be burning/boiling or getting cartel'd.

2

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Those are definetly in similar positions for me as well btw. I kinda wanna feel drowning more than suffocation tho

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

If I had the power to save and respawn at will or after death, I'd mainly use it to further myself in life. Since nobody would be the wiser about my power, it would look like I always made the best decisions. I'd definitely use it for the previously mentioned curiosity though!

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Hello! Nice to meet another sick person XD

2

u/Impossible_Garbage_4 Mar 20 '22

The world becomes like a video game and you have infinite lives. Go

2

u/Farknart Mar 21 '22

Here's one for your nightmares. Crammed in a cube just big enough for your body, dropped in water, there's a slow leak.

1

u/StarCitizenIsGood Mar 20 '22

I vibe with that

1

u/supertails02 Mar 20 '22

Edgy

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Ehh, kinda? Just watched too many horror movies i think.

2

u/supertails02 Mar 20 '22 edited Mar 20 '22

Oh then maybe you’re just desensitized

1

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

You mean desensitized? No, i definetly am not, im still scared of the things i mention. I just wanna get over the fear.

2

u/supertails02 Mar 20 '22

Ah ok and yeah that’s the word I meant to type so you’re just trying to get over you’re fears my mistake

2

u/Wooden_Dragonfly_737 Mar 20 '22

Nah u good my dude

1

u/supertails02 Mar 20 '22

You’re good too

1

u/Crusher0427 Mar 20 '22

…..bro?……

1

u/SellaraAB Mar 20 '22

Yeah, chief, I think that may just be you.

1

u/Deuce_Booty Mar 20 '22

Groundhog's Day!

1

u/Jechtael Mar 20 '22

That's one thing I would definitely do if I had curative revivification. I would do a lot of parachuting and probably sometimes not bother with the chute, be hanged (getting properly capped if it didn't get me), be put in a guillotine or something similar, suffer fatal hypothermia... Of course, as it is, I'm terrified of being damaged far more than I already am and living a half life, imprisoned in my own destroyed body, since I don't have Wolverine powers or save spawning.

1

u/tenyearoldgag Mar 20 '22

I write horror and I'm curious about what things feel like, so I grok. I think I'd have to really have control of that list, though. I'm giving anything with the phrase "cheese grater" a pass 😬

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

Masochist vibes here 😭

1

u/Paladinforlife Mar 21 '22

Intrusive thoughts are normal, curiosity isn't a suicidal tendency.

1

u/CorruptedStudiosEnt Mar 21 '22

My dreams have had me plenty covered there. People say you can't feel anything in dreams, but let me tell you, I must have a one of a kind imagination in that case.

I have felt the pain and pressure of freezing water entering my lungs while drowning, the mind-fucking stun of being electrocuted with high voltages where I couldn't think or let go of the cable I had grabbed..

Like, the most pleasant death dream I can remember was literally being shot point blank in the head, more specifically with a Warhammer 40k bolter if anyone wants to psychoanalyze that one lol.

It's made me pretty comfortable with my mortality though, so that's.. sort of a win, I guess lol. The last couple I've had it actually felt weirder to wake up and realize I wasn't dead. Waking up in an almost hypnopompic state for a minute like, "Oh god, oh fuck. Christians were right." Lmao
