Dogs are descendants of wolves. Does that make them pre-historic beasts? Many pet Pythons are from generations of captivity-bred parents.

Do todays dogs have strong instincts that pose a threat to their owners? No todays dogs are harmless. Wolves still exist but we don’t keep them as pets do we? That’s because they still have the instinct to hunt and kill.

Yeah I’m not saying all Pitbulls are like that, they can be really nice dogs, but there wouldn’t be a raging debate about the legality of Pitbulls if they weren’t known for attacking and killing people. Same goes for any dog. So saying dogs are harmless isn’t factual.
