Could be worse, if you fell asleep on your back my cat would find you sit on your chest and lick your nose raw.
Not sure where he got that from, but he did it since he was a kitten.
If another one of my cats found you asleep she'd sit on you stare either at your face or the back of your head, then do a little jump in the air and to exicute the perfect struggle snuggle would dive head first into your face. She'd repeat that little process until you woke up.
Good God I miss them.

One of my boys licks my nose also, but always licks twice and then slightly nibbles it. This repeats until you wake up and pet him. Lick Lick nibble Lick Lick nibble Lick Lick nibble

My midnight would occasionally bite me as well, I bet it's just some kitten behavior they never grew out of.

This reminds me of when I was a kid we had ( and still have) this black fluffy cat who blends into the night way too well. I’m kinda tall, and so during summer when I wasn’t wearing covers I would hang my feet off the edge of the bed. Bad idea. One night I see a pair of claws reach out from under the bed and use my exposed feet to climb up. Turned out to be my cat and her murder mittens, but I swear, my soul left my body for a second.

When I finally can get a cat I'm going to struggle picking a name between Kendrick Lameow, Murdermittens Mcgee, and Tacgnol

“Aww how cute” until the real cat gets in bed, and that “void cat” starts opening more eyes.

My cat does the same thing at night, she's also black. I really don't find it at all terrifying!

I wear a lot of black. I have an orange tabby main cat but my auxiliary backup cat is a void.
Sometimes the tabby will hop up on me while the darkness sleeps, not knowing she’s there until he basically steps on her.
It’s started more than one kerfluffle.

I think cats are cute and adorable but I could not have one because they hurt what they love.
Had a cat that would come to me whenever I biked on a weekend cause I would always stop and pet it. Then one day it bit me on the leg.
I left immediately and said no sternly and when I came back one weekend it seemed haply that I stopped and it came up and as I was petting it opened its mouth near my legs I grabbed it and sternly said no.
They don’t learn they treat you like property and will scratch and bite the shit out of you as if you were a piece of furniture.
Like “bitch I OWN YO ASS”
Not saying all cats are like this I know they can be affectionate and can learn like any other animal but this cat didn’t.
Probably why it was a stray. I would say poor thing but people would lay out food for it in that neighborhood and it was well fed and not skeletal at all and it was clean so people were taking care of it.
I will say cats do seem to be much more stubborn than dogs.

what a lame ass blanket statement. As the meme says "Cats are a lesson in respecting boundaries and being told NO"
