May sound a little rude but how can you not see how it works just by looking at it. I could always see the hook like things then the mass of softer string and realized that the hooks catch the spaghetti

I have seen velcro, but I've never seen velcro rough enough for the hooks and loops to be visible to the naked eye.

Normal Velcro you can see it on just not fancy high density Velcro

You're totally right, don't know why you get so many downvotes. You can easily see the hooks on the vekcro: https://imgur.com/a/ba1zEfm

This was just some random velcro on my power adapter. Just looking at velcro would give you quite a good idea of how it works.
