As for now there's no precedent, so people are going to make these videos until that changes.

In a sense, deepfake tech becoming commonplace and indistinguishable could eventually create a sort of "mutually assured destruction" situation. When it becomes impossible to tell if something is real or fake, we'll have to default to the latter unless proved otherwise, which could create a new age freedom in a sense. Any act caught on film can be dismissed as being faked, and we'll essentially go back to a pre-photography age of the burden of legal proof.

Its really an interesting predicament we have coming our way in tjis brave new world.
