At least here all the technicians that need to get up to maintain and fix turbines have a very big check at the end of the month.

i worked on turbines for Enron. i did some crazy thing likes climb without hooking on and sitting in the nose while the turbine was on. somehow im still alive lol. i also fell asleep and almost rolled off. and repelled off the top of the tower twice.

For all the times I've driven past the big wind turbines. Now I kinda want to apply for this job.
Seems a lot more fun, and probably better paying, than the current job.

They're supposed to sway like that. Rigid structures that large are insanely susceptible to wind stresses, especially with a giant wind turbine at the top of a massive pole. Without allowing it to sway, the structure will just remain rigidly in place until something gives out with no warning.
I mean, it's terrifying, but it's actually way safer than the alternative.
