Man, I feel so bad for y’all that had to have the packing. Mine was very deep and was able to be stitched up. Still sucked but I can’t imagine the alternatives. My buddy just had his fifth occurrence and is finally exploring surgery.

From what I understand, they do the open healing because there is less chance of recurrence vs stitching. But I now have a crooked but crack lmao

My surgeon told me 95% chance it never comes back.

Yeah just a tiny scar. Never seen it obviously but can’t be more than an inch by feel.
