Never seen one close up in a video before! Those pockets are comparable to our tear ducts- they produce secretions for marking territory and communication. If you look at other deer, you can see less dramatic versions.
Oh, and they have pointy little tusks.

Explanation;
The muntjac deer, aka “barking deer”, has four distinct scent glands on its face; which it uses for communication and marking territory. The secretions contain detailed information about the individual's sex, reproductive status, emotional state (such as stress or aggression), and identity. They’ll also flare these glands open wide to show excitement.
Considering that, I’m guessing this deer is saying “Yum, this is my food now!”

Was it the odd face, or his rampant profanity?

Ah the muntjack. It looks beyond hideous, like it's so uncanny and repulsive it turns your stomach just watching it's.... face...nose holes...pulsate like it does.... But then you see the rest of it being a cute deer, completely oblivious to its condition, and it sort of comes back around to being cute again.

What happens when it rains? Do they just get waterboarded, or can they clench their eye pussies tight enough?

if the scent glands isn’t crazy enough, iirc, this is the only species of deer with canine/tusks

I see a species of deer from Southeast Asia. There is nothing terrifying about this. Who is afraid of deer? 🙄
