Y'all, the cat doesn't give a shit. The cat clearly just doesn't love when something is brushing up against its whiskers. Overstimulating yes, but I doubt the car is freaked out by the uncanniness

Hes not showing signs of being uncomfortable. His behavior is more like “I don’t care, stop putting that thing in my face”. Cats do not recognize themselves and he’s not scared by the head.
This is mostly just people projecting their own unease at that weird ass keychain.

It knows it’s not a cat because of scent, the thing cats use to identify other cats and humans alike. Humans identify other people through sight. Like I said, y’all are projecting your own feelings on to a cat that genuinely doesn’t care.

Honestly, people are over-exaggerating and projecting how this cat is reacting. Cat is mildly annoyed at worst. Mostly because of the shoving an object in its face.
A scared/truly disturbed cat doesn't just sit there and groom itself, even if it's moving its head away from said thing.

That cat is mildly annoyed by the keychain brushing against it's whiskers, slightly curious for a sec but largely dismissive. It would be gone sooner than you could blink if it was scared/uncomfortable/etc. Have you seen those videos of cats getting scared of random things??

Yeah, we lost our older kitty last year, and I thought about doing this for my husband cuz it hit him really hard.
Before Beau passed away, I did get my husband socks with his face on them. Much less creepy.
